Well, it’s just over a week left until Christmas. It used to be a
holiday that I looked forward to when I was young, with wild
anticipation, and the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas dragged
on endlessly.
Now it goes by with the blink of an eye.
And this year, the only reason I’m remotely excited is for my
granddaughter.
Unfortunately my wife’s 2nd knee surgery didn’t go so well, so I’m not
even sure she’ll be home for the holiday. Her surgeon noticed a hole
in the incision area that could let in an infection, and just to be
safe he ordered her for cleanup surgery this coming Monday, and at
least a couple more days in the hospital.
We’re assuming there will be no rehab this time, and straight home in
time for Christmas and New Years, but that’s to be seen yet. This was
supposed to be the easy knee, but things don’t always go as planned…
in personal life or in business.
But sooner or later, healing will have taken place, and it will be
behind her. This too shall pass.
I certainly hope your holiday preparations are going much more
smoothly.
