Welcome to 2017. This is the first weekly update of the year, and it
certainly won’t be the last one. I’ve been doing this since we
started, and we’re coming up on our 10th anniversary (in May).
So what do you think? Is this year going to be better than last year?
Speaking of which, I haven’t noticed anyone updating their
breakthrough challenges lately. This would be an excellent time to do
that, for those who posted a challenge to themselves in 2016.
And it would be an even better time to start a new one, don’t you
think?
For those interested in my wife’s progress, it’s going very slowly.
She was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, having been
admitted on the prior Friday. She doesn’t much like hospital stays,
especially after all the recent ones, as you can imagine.
She’s in rehab now, still hasn’t been able to leave total bed rest
status. Her wildest dream now is that the doctor’s assistant said she
“might” be able to sit up today, very carefully of course.
How much longer she’ll be in rehab isn’t known yet, and I’m getting
tired of driving back and forth between home and office and where
she’s at, but things could be far worse, so I’m counting my blessings.
The 2nd knee surgery theoretically was supposed to go better than the
first knee went, and that one went very well, except for the temporary
pain associated with it. This one… a nightmare.
But this too shall pass. So let’s see what’s been happening in the
forum.
