2 days until the big game, folks… and those who aren’t in the
U.S. may not care at all.
I’m talking about Super Bowl Sunday, a day of eating and drinking
and hanging out with friends and often wagering on dozens and
dozens of different parts of the game from who will win the coin
toss to who will actually win the game.
Regardless, the commercials are always fun to watch. I don’t know
the cost this year, but I think it’s been around $4,000,000 per
30-second spot for a while now, and I don’t know how companies like
GoDaddy can profit from them, but it’s their money.
If I had an extra 4 million to spend, I can think of better places,
but maybe that’s just me.
Anyway, at this time last week I was battling the leg pain, and
still am, but it’s much better now, so much so that I’m refusing to
take the pain pills. I had a doctor’s appointment for Tuesday, but
the forecast of a blizzard caused them to cancel all their
appointments, and I haven’t rescheduled yet.
Speaking of the blizzard, the 2 to 3 feet of snow that we were supposed
to get turned out to be about 4 inches, so that was nice enough, but
some of our members to the north and east got pounded. Hopefully
everyone made it through the storm safely.
So, as winter continues on to it’s eventual spectacular journey to
spring, let’s see what’s been happening in the forum…
