Because of a convention that my wife was going to in Atlantic City,
I spent almost a full week away at the condo (last Friday until
yesterday).
I had great plans to accomplish lots of stuff, which sadly didn’t
materialize in some cases.
I did get necessary work done, but not much in the way of
brainstorming, except for one big thing… I decided that there
were certain things that I want to do, or continue doing, and
certain things that don’t really motivate me…
… so why should I stress myself out planning them, just for the
potential income?
The moment that I made that realization, it was like a huge load
lifted off my shoulders. I’m no longer beating myself up about why
it’s taking me so long to do something, and I can now focus on
other things just as important or more so.
At this point, income isn’t my biggest motivator anyway, thank
goodness.
Have you done a self assessment lately? It was really cathartic for
me. I even started to do a 10×10 matrix for future content
development like Sean Mize teaches, and I’m excited about that. Out
of it will come tons of articles, blog posts, Youtube videos,
probably a few books, and lots of content for the group coaching
inside the forum. It will probably also help easily complete the
third 5 Bucks a Day book.
So the week away was indeed beneficial, and though I didn’t
accomplish everything I set out to do, what I didn’t do was almost
as beneficial as what I did do.
