Well, Friday has rolled around once more.
And spring has sprung. I like that.
But one part of spring that always made
it my favorite was the start of baseball
season, along with March Madness and the
NCAA basketball tournament.
They’re gone. At least March Madness is,
and baseball is still in question, but
it definitely won’t start on March 26th
as scheduled.
The virus has silenced the crack of the
bat. Even World War II didn’t do that.
Obviously what we’re going through is
serious stuff. Deadly stuff.
Entire industries shut down, and many
people out of work for the duration,
however long that might be.
That includes most retail establishments,
which for many years was what I did.
I’ve always felt fortunate that I was
able to get out of that rat race, but
now I feel very blessed.
Being able to work from home is
something I never envisioned when
I was growing up, even deep into my
prime years, whenever they were. 
I hope you are safe and able to mostly
self-isolate yourself, but I also hope
that the self-isolation is by choice,
not mandatory.
While you’re doing that, take advantage.
Learn a skill that will serve you well
for the rest of your life.
You can become enough of an expert
on a topic, within a couple focused days,
to teach others and be seen as an
authority in a niche.
Get good at blogging, or get good at
podcasting, or get good at YouTubing,
or get good at Facebook Living, or so
many other things that you can later
monetize, once you’re good at it.
You can even create infoproducts about
what you become a “good enough”
expert at.
Start writing more, and get good at it.
Build a following on social media and
establish relationships.
Create products that help the people
in your niche, and build a list of
people that recognize the value that
you provide.
Above all, stay safe and do all the
things that are being recommended like
washing your hands often and keeping
a safe social distance if you are out
and about.
You’re important to so many people,
including me, remember that.
This too shall pass, and the sooner
the better.
If enough people do enough common-
sense things, it will end sooner. Be a
leader in that regard.
