Good morning once again.
It’s been wet and not summery this week, but
it looks like things are turning around starting
today, just in time for Father’s Day.
And for all you dads out there, I hope you
have a wonderful day on Sunday (and all the
other days as well).
I reminded myself this week about a post I
wrote in the forum years ago, which is here:
Essentially, it’s about incremental progress
and how spending just a half hour a day on your
dream project sure beats telling yourself that
“I don’t have time for that now”, and then a
year later still having that project unstarted.
I suggest in that post that virtually everyone
has time to do something for just 30 minutes each
day, and that adds up quickly (5 full weeks worth
of half hours over the course of a year).
Lots can be done in 5 focused weeks.
And I also suggest that you won’t miss those
half hours each day.
Rereading that post struck home with me. There’s
been a project I’ve been putting off for a
couple months now that could end up being the
best thing I’ve ever put together.
It’s all mapped out and strategized, I just
need to do a boatload of writing.
Doing 30-minute chunks of writing could get
it done much sooner than if I keep putting
it off, don’t you think?
So I started yesterday.

The key is incremental progress.

gets transformed to 60 minutes or more on
the days when you or I get in the zone and
just can’t stop.
