Welcome back.
And welcome to May, 2019. Mayday has come and
gone. Star Wars Day, May the 4th is tomorrow.
And then Cinco de Mayo on Sunday.
And of course, Mother’s Day is next Sunday.
Then my son’s birthday is on the 15th.
How time flies. I remember the day I went
to pick him (and my wife) up to bring them
home from the hospital. The hospital was
in New York City, and my car got a parking
ticket, I think the meter ran out about 2
minutes before we got to the car.
But I didn’t care so much about that. 
My mother’s birthday comes shortly after
that. She would have been 101 this year
if she was still around, but alas, she’s not.
If yours is, be kind to her, especially next
Sunday, but other days also.
But the biggie that I always love is Memorial
Day, the unofficial start to summer.
My wife and I have a condo in Atlantic City
on the boardwalk, and our favorite casino
there has a promotion every year, the Friday
before Memorial Day, where they drop 1000s
of beach balls onto the boardwalk from above.
There are throngs of people trying to get
theirs, and when the weather is nice (it
usually is), it’s a lot of fun. I generally
get one or two for my granddaughter.
So hopefully we’ll be there again this
year.
