How has your week been?
Spring has sprung, are you enjoying it
so far?
To me, as a sports fan, the beginning of
spring means March Madness, which to the
uninitiated is a college basketball
tournament, with 68 of the best teams
in the land competing for the crown in
a “lose one and you’re done” format.
It also causes gambling mania in that
people across the country fill out
what is called their brackets, hoping
to predict the winners of each of the
games. It’s almost infinite odds of
having a perfect bracket, in fact I
read that Warren Buffett is offering
his employees a million dollars for
life if they can predict which of the
original 64 teams survive to make it
to the final 16.
In a prior year, he offered a billion
dollars to anyone with a perfect
bracket (picking every winner in
every game). No one won.
It also means the start of Major League
Baseball season, and the end of the
seasons for the pro basketball and
hockey teams, thus the start of the
playoffs there.
If you’re not into sports, well, spring
is still nice, I’m sure. 
I’m now 2 weeks removed from my prostrate
surgery, and feeling better every day.
One benefit of the procedure I elected
was the ability to get off prescription
drugs for the problem, and I think there
were side effects, which I am now able
to notice now that they’re gone.
So with that, on a rainy and chilly day,
let’s see what’s happening in the forum
this week.
