Good morning. Thanks for opening and beginning
to read another issue of the weekly updates.
Earn1KaDay has been alive for almost 12 years
now. And in that time, trends have come and
gone…
Business models have come and gone and thrived
and stopped working…
Some gurus have come and gone, while others have
maintained their status as leaders.
When we started here, Clickbank was king as far
as a platform to sell infoproducts, the other
main alternative was putting your own PayPal
buttons on your sales pages.
I started selling on Clickbank with my 5 Bucks
a Day ebook. Fond memories.
And then along came the 7 dollar script from Jon
Leger, where you could alternate payments with
affiliates.
That was a simple script, but brilliant, and you
installed it on your own server.
RAP (Rapid Action Profits) then took over
that script and massively improved it, but
the foundation of alternating payments stayed
the same.
That was then picked up by Warrior Plus, and
after a while it seemed like that method was
a reason that PayPal accounts were being banned
in droves. That was around 2011, I think.
The theory was that since some payments
were going to the affiliate, the buyer would
get confused about who to contact for support
or a refund, since they didn’t pay the vendor.
And then along came adaptive payments, where
instead of alternating payments to affiliates,
an affiliate got a split of each payment.
Warrior Plus thrived, and then along came
JV Zoo with their own platform. And other
platforms that used adaptive payments.
Now it looks like adaptive payments might be
a reason why PayPal accounts are being banned
in droves again… or at least a part of the
reason.
Who knows? Theorists. Fear mongers maybe.
Those who “think they know” because it
makes common sense (which isn’t always so
common, is it?).
When you think the sky might fall on you,
you run around like Chicken Little telling
the world it is, even though it’s only
snowing on you.
So now the brilliant minds running the
affiliate platforms are making adjustments
to their adaptive payment methods, beginning
with Warrior Plus and now JV Zoo also.
And I do say “brilliant” not in sarcasm
but in admiration at how quickly they have
been able to adapt.
While Clickbank goes on about their business
as usual. Probably safe because they take on
all the responsibility of selling and
delivering and refunding.
The more things change, the more they stay
the same.
Sell good products and services. Accurately
describe those products and services on your
sales pages. Give good swift support to your
customers, and have an accurate and reliate
guarantee.
And… Affiliate only with those you trust to
do that as well…
… which is the difficult part, admittedly, and
why our recent report about W+ Affiliate
Income Protection is so vital.
Hopefully, if you do all that, you’ll be fine.
But don’t fail to keep up to date with the
latest cautionary information, just in case.
