Well, today is Friday the 13th. I don’t
remember why that particular combination
has gotten such a bad rap, but I could
probably look it up to find out.
I do remember one particularly unfortunate
incident, on Friday the 13th of June, 2014.
It was just after midnight and I woke up
with cramps, went to the bathroom, and
saw blood in the toilet. Odd, I thought,
and I hoped it would go away.
It didn’t, and I woke my wife to rush me
to the emergency room.
I actually thought I was going to die,
and passed out on the E.R. floor in a pool
of blood (some of it from my glasses
breaking and opening up a gash over one
eye).
That was the year I missed the Earn1KaDay
seminar, but it ran just as well, or better,
without me, thanks to my friend Connie
Ragen Green.
But yes, I survived, and lived to have
another similar episode a little more
than 3 years later, not on a Friday the
13th, so I won’t blame the date.
