I need some time off to relax
and de-stress, so I’ll be brief
today.
One of the stress points is a
medical situation (no big deal,
but future surgery needed).
Another is a family member in
sort of a crisis situation.
And another is financial… it
seems my Amazon account was
hacked into and someone started
a bunch of computer tasks on
EC2, whatever that is. 20 processes
on each of around 20 or so data
centers around the world.
Amazon notified me of their
concern and I went in and quickly
(as quick as I could stop about
400 processes) stopped and deleted
things, changed passwords and
security keys, etc.
Then the next day, I checked into
my billing, and it seems that one
day’s activity racked up $5,650.50
in charges.
I’m trying to get that reversed,
of course, but yep. Stress.
So I’m going to take a long weekend
through the day after July 4th and
just chill… as much as I can in
predicted 95-100 degree weather.
