I understand the groundhog is predicting more cold
weather ahead, so if you believe in that sort of
thing, there you go.
I’ll take it day by day, knowing now that spring
is right around the corner. So far the winter
hasn’t been so bad in my part of the planet, but
I won’t be surprised if we still have some “events’
coming.
When I started online marketing, WordPress didn’t
exist, so things were done, sometimes clumsily,
with HTML.
It took me a while to adapt to WP, and actually
it wasn’t until 2010, when I started partnering
with Rachel Rofe, that I started to appreciate
how much easier putting up sales pages with WP
could be.
Since then, 95% or more of my web development
activity is with WordPress.
Along the way I have used various themes and
plugins, but my personality is to resist change,
and I had a hard time adapting to some of the
various themes, so I also didn’t appreciate
them so much.
Deciding to stick with one or another theme
for the long term sometimes got me into
trouble, since sometimes “one man shops”
end up abandoning support after a while.
That happened to me twice already, and I
still have sites using unsupported themes,
and those will need to be converted at some
point… Ugh.
Lately I’ve been working with Hexater, a
division of Rapid Crush (our old friends
Wil Mattos, Jason Fladlien, and Matt
Levenhagen).
I was truly impressed with what they have
available, and took one of their themes for
a test ride. The installation was easy, the
documentation was superb, the ability to
customize was also easy.
It worked perfectly right out of the box.
And I know support will be there for the
long term, they are definitely not a one
man shop.
So, I negotiated a special license to be
able to provide their themes to you for a
