It’s finally starting to look and feel like autumn.
The colors of the leaves and the crispness in the
air are a hint that soon the ground will be covered
with white stuff.
So let’s get it over with already. If winter goes
as quickly as summer seemed to, I’ll be happy. 
After 6 weeks in the hospital and rehab, my wife
came home on Monday, and on Tuesday, her surgeon
took a look at her leg and the xrays and blood
tests and pronounced her well enough to take off
the horrible leg brace she had to wear full time,
so that was very liberating for both of us.
And now I’m reclaiming a few productive hours of
each day that I was spending visiting her at the
rehab place and hospital before that.
Though, now it’s time to schedule the surgery
that will give her a new knee again, and it all
starts over, hopefully just one more time.
In the meantime, I have lots to do, and it’s a
relief to be able to get back to it.
