Well, the snow came and came and kept coming on Saturday last week,
and when I woke up Sunday morning there were around 24 inches of the
stuff.
It’s been melting all week, and we’re all dug out, personally, but
there’s still a lot of cleanup going on around the area.
Among other tragedies, there was news of a young family in the area,
the father was digging the car out of the snow while his wife and two
children (ages 1 and 3) stayed in the car to keep warm. The exhaust
pipe of the car was clogged with snow, the engine was running, and the
3 were overcome with carbon monoxide fumes while the father was
shoveling. The mother and baby died there, and the 3 year old was
taken to the hospital in critical condition, only to die later.
So be careful out there. Sometimes danger is quiet and you’re not
aware of it.
The snow made me think. Individually snow flakes are very light and
almost invisible. But put enough of them together for a long enough
time, and you really have something worth talking about.
So too are our efforts. A single article or blog post is just a blip,
but put enough of them together and you have content for books and
reports and the basis for videos and podcasts and over the months and
years, you could establish yourself as quite the authority on your
topic, which can lead to opportunities that you couldn’t even imagine
or dream about when you start.
So if you haven’t started yet, or aren’t continuing to pile on the
content, why not do some today, and tomorrow, and the next day, and so
on?
