It’s yet another beautiful weekend here, and I hope you’re enjoying
yours.
My wife and I went over to my son’s house on Wednesday for dinner,
and my wife told him that she was worried about me because I have
been working so hard. That sort of shocked me because in my mind I
have been having a great time working on The IM Inside Track,
getting ready to launch my latest book (one of this week’s
downloads mentioned below), doing regular stuff that’s a constant,
etc.
So I guess maybe sometimes it appears to others that we’re a bit
overcommitted when in our minds we’re not. So we came down to our
oceanfront condo yesterday and will spend a relaxing weekend…
though I do have some “work” thingies to attend to, like that book
launch, this email, getting some more content scheduled for
IMIT, and a few other things.
Bottom line: life is good. Anyway, speaking of work…
My assistant and I were brainstorming ideas to make The IM Inside
Track go viral the other day, and one thing she asked was… what’s
your USP, do you have a tagline for the site, or an elevator pitch?
The answer was no, it was something that fell by the wayside when I
was working to get it ready on time, part of the “good enough is
good enough” that the site could do without for a while.
So last night as I sat on the balcony just relaxing and listening
to the ocean’s waves, I came up with “The IM Inside Track: The
Definitive Daily Dose of Information, Inspiration, and Ideas for
Today’s Online Entrepreneur”.
I’m not putting that out for a vote because that always causes
debate and endless rabbit holes to go down, and it might not be
final, but it opened up another thought.
If I call it a “daily dose”, that sort of implies that there will
be daily content, and originally I said 3 to 5 new episodes a week,
which I announced this week to be 5 or more new episodes a week,
and now…
I guess I could get away with 5 a week being called daily, with the
weekends off, but I don’t know… Jason and Robert’s Daily Seminar,
which I purchased, was only 3 “seminars” a week, plus one day for a
bonus product they had resell rights for, plus a day with a short
recap of the rest of the week, and nothing on weekends.
They got away with calling it “daily” with only 3 pieces of new
content weekly, so I could justify it with 5, I guess.
But I’m thinking I might go to 7. I have enough topics already
outlined to go for more than a year already, and that’s only the
tip of the iceberg, so… maybe.
So far, it’s been a lot of fun, a learning experience, and
invigorating. Will it be the same 6, 12, 60 months from now? Time
will tell.
