I walked out to my car today and I almost couldn’t breathe, because
of the oppressive humidity. The weather forecasts have been
saying there would be thunderstorms, brutal ones, the last 2
days, but I guess we were spared, which is good news, bad news.
The good news is that we were spared from power outages, flooded
basements, downed trees, and all that. The bad news is that
thunderstorms tend to clear the air nicely of all the excess
humidity, and that didn’t happen.
Isn’t that typical, with every cloud there’s a silver lining, and
even when things are going awesomely (is that a word?) there’s
always some other type of challenge to face. If you’re not used
to that already, as I’m sure you are, you need to always keep
that in mind.
Like my favorite saying in challenging times… this too shall pass.
I hope your week has been going perfectly, but if not, remember the
above.
My wife and I have tickets for a concert tonight down in Atlantic
City… Joey Dee and the Starliters. If you haven’t heard of them,
you missed out. Peppermint Twist and Shout were their big hits. I’m
looking forward to it, even if it will remind me how both they and
I have aged… but we all still keep plugging and shouting and
even what resembles twisting now and then.
But not quite like this
