Yesterday, after a lot of weeks (months) or going back and forth on
“should I or shouldn’t I?”, I went way outside my comfort zone,
crafted a from-the-heart email, and sent it out to everyone on the
E1K members list.

monthly for membership to the forum, you need to read this thread:

I expected an avalanche of emails regarding it, and while I
received a lot, there weren’t as many as I expected.
Bottom line is, I’m sacrificing my recurring income stream, I have
a reason that I hope and pray works out, but regardless of that,
you’ll benefit if you’re still paying monthly.
Even if you’re not paying monthly, you’ll benefit in other ways,
because the root of the plan is designed to make the forum fresher
with more new members.
If you already asked for the price to convert, the overwhelming
response so far was that it was a great offer. Several had said
that they wanted to convert to lifetime in the past, but the fixed
cost was more than they could afford.
I think I’ve solved that situation…
So don’t be afraid to ask, by replying to this email.
No one who intends to stay a member in Earn1KaDay should think
twice about this opportunity, and even if you aren’t sure, you
can’t really lose.

I know I mentioned later in this email “if it sounds too good to be
true, it probably is”. This offer, in my opinion, is an exception
to that rule.
So the question that you might be asking is why am I willing to cut
out my recurring income stream.
Fair question, and the reason I’ve hesitated doing this for months.
It’s because I want to bring in more new members to the forum, and
I have the impression that the “pay forever” price is a deterrent.
So, at least as an experiment, I’ll be offering new members a price
that isn’t forever, it will actually be sort of a hybrid of a fixed
term membership.
By hybrid I mean the price will be fixed as far as the term, but
the content will be anything but fixed, there will continue to be
new stuff every week.
So assuming that a fixed term plan will convert better on the sales
page, then I can theoretically replace my recurring income from
current members with recurring income from new members, and get
more activity in the forum, with new people asking fresh questions
to keep us all on our toes.
I love to create win-win situations, and I hope you, if you’re
currently paying monthly will consider the ability to end your
payments to be a win, and new members will consider the ability to
limit their monthly payments to 11 months instead of infinity to be
a win.
Another reason I’m willing to cut out my recurring income stream is
I have a plan which will replace it many times over. It will also
probably attract a new group of members that is sort of a sub-niche
to most of us, and at the same time I hope to bring some new
excitement to the forum.
You’ll have to trust me on that prediction, because it’s probably
at least 6 to 8 months away, but the plan is in progress.
