I’ve spent virtually the entire week at my condo, working from a
sort-of office carved out of my bedroom, about 4 feet by 4 feet.
Enough to get by, it seems.
The reason for the full week was that the annual Atlantic City air
show was happening on Wednesday, and fortunately the bad weather in
the area spared us here, so that the event could go on as planned.
This year the Thunderbirds were the closing act for the 5 hour
show, and they were absolutely amazing. Loud, proud, a great
example of some of the best pilots our country has. I wonder how
many of the half million in attendance, mostly watching from the
beaches, were young children who may have decided that’s what they
want to be when they grow up.
And how many of those will actually take action on that goal.
Speaking of goals, how much action have you taken this week on
yours? Regardless of your answer, this coming week is another good
opportunity to make even more progress.
And about Robin Williams, what can I say that hasn’t already been
said and written? Such a tragic loss of someone who gave so much
pleasure and laughter to so many millions. I read in the newspaper
this morning that beyond the depression, he also had recently been
diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Maybe that’s when he decided
life just wasn’t worth the trouble anymore.
We’ll never know, but if you know someone with similar feelings,
this would be a good week to give them a call or give them a hug,
you know?
