[Earn1KaDay] Focus, more Becker’s Notes (TM), and more…

I hate to jinx things, but it looks like winter is behind us. There
was a big nor’easter forecast here for earlier this week, and it
fizzled out. Take that, old man winter!

That’s the way it is with many unpleasant situations, if you keep
in the back of your mind “this too shall pass”, it generally will.
That’s not to say that it’s a generic and universal truth, but
mostly things will look better once you go towards the light at the
end of the tunnel.

What’s your current most important challenge in your business? Let
me go back to advice I shared inside 5 Bucks a Day, and urge you to
focus like a laser beam on the solution to that challenge.

There’s a module inside 6 in 6 Coaching that I released the notes
for this week, module 58, which was presented by John Carter. I met
John at the 2013 Earn1KaDay seminar and had a very interesting
conversation with him. He has a very engaging personality and told
me about buying a business, turning it around, and then selling it
for around 4 million dollars.

Then he stumbled upon a line of wine bottle toppers or something,
and how he was able to sell them to wine stores or wineries in
California using a very ingenious method.

John’s a member of Earn1KaDay, and maybe he’ll read this email and
check into the forum and tell more of his very interesting story,
but in the 6 in 6 module he talks about some of my favorite
subjects like goals, failure, and especially focus, and I really
recommend that you at least read the notes but even more, I hope
you watch the webinar when you get a chance.

As far as focus, John says there are 4 laws of focus, which are:

- what you focus on, you find
- what you focus on, seems real
- what you focus on, grows
- what you focus on, you become

So he recommends focusing on solutions to problems, not the problem
itself. If you focus on problems, you find more problems, they seem
more real, and they grow. That’s not good, is it?
