We’re winding down to the end of 2013. Wow.
So how did you do this year? Do you still have hope of reaching
your goals that you set for this year?
If not, what are you projecting for 2014? Are your goals realistic?
For example, I don’t have a goal to overtake Bill Gates income-wise,
or even Mark Zuckerberg.
I am however happy with what’s happened this year, and I have
projected income for next year that would be amazing based on where
I was this time last year.
It’s too early to write about the exact reasons for the improvement
of the last 4-5 months, but if it continues much longer, I’ll
definitely be writing about it, much like I wrote about my initial
success in 5 Bucks a Day.
The thing to keep in mind is that the formula is fairly simple: set
realistic goals; focus on those goals doing work that gives value
to others; work towards those goals doing that work on a daily
basis, incrementally; keep a positive mindset that you can’t be
stopped; never lose hope regardless of temporary setbacks or
challenges.
There’s another little thing that’s made a huge difference for me
though, which is a specific and little-used part of the above, that’s
made the biggest difference lately.
So my advice for the rest of 2013 is to prepare yourself for 2014 by
setting those goals and the methods that you will use to achieve
them. If you’ll be needing tools or knowledge to reach those goals,
now might be a good time to accumulate that since there are plenty
of sales going on now… but avoid bright shiny objects that aren’t
in alignment with your plans.
