This might possibly be the most beautiful day of the year. Not too
hot, not too cool, plenty of sunshine, decently low humidity.
Life is good.
How about you?
This is a time of year that I’ve been told is relatively slow for
IM’ers, but we’re getting close to months with hyper activity,
especially if you sell merchandise suitable for gift giving. Are
you ready?
With people taking their vacations at the last minute before kids
going back to school, and other assorted reasons, forum activity
has been down a little lately.
Not too long ago, we added almost 200 new members, and lots of them
seem to have been shy about participating. I’d like to encourage
those people, actually everybody, to get involved again or for the
first time, because forum participation has been a little down
lately.
I know from experience, and from reading emails, and from seeing
success stories over the years, that forum participation often
yields very positive results, sometimes in ways that is hard to
explain other than just “coincidence”.
Coincidence, my foot. I wrote about it in this report, which you
might want to read, or read again:
Over the last several months, I’ve added sections to the forum
(specifically Breakthrough Challenge and Personal Coaching) that I
thought would be more actively used. For those of you participating
there, thank you. If you haven’t, please consider it.
You see, I still have the goal that every single member here will
find a way to reach his or her first $1000 day. That goal of mine
hasn’t wavered since before the first member joined.
There have indeed been plenty of members reach that goal, of course,
but some still haven’t.
I’ve always pledged my support, training, and encouragement to
making that happen for you.
But I need your help. I need veteran members who haven’t been
active lately in posting to come back and share what they’ve been
doing.
I need those who are struggling to stop lurking and avail
themselves of the coaching component of the forum, and set up their
breakthrough challenge.
I need everyone to tell me what they think would help them, and the
community as a whole.
Earn1KaDay is like a family, sure. I’m proud of that. But I also
want to be proud of the fact that we get results inside the closed
walls of the forum. The Facebook group is fun, but the forum is
where we can change our businesses, our incomes, our lives… and
also have some fun.
To that end, I’m investigating ways to further increase the value
inside the forum, the coaching tools, and the commitment of our
members.
One thing that I’m seriously considering is doing away with the
membership trial period. I never really liked the idea, but it’s
been in place for quite a while now.
Yes, it gives people a way to try before making a final commitment,
but it also signals that they haven’t made a commitment to
themselves to succeed, at whatever cost.
When I purchased FB Ads Cracked, for example, I committed $297, and
I committed that I would do whatever it took to learn how to run
and profit from advertising on Facebook. Nobody offered a 14 day
trial, and I didn’t feel it was needed.
When I purchased Daily Seminar from Jason Fladlien and Robert Plank
for $32,000, there was no trial period. I had to commit to myself
that I’d make a profit, and I did. If I had 14 days to waffle about
it and drag my feet, it probably wouldn’t have happened.
So that’s changing, I would rather have people inside this group
who are committed to success, rather than tire kickers.
Now I don’t mean that anyone here during their current trial period
is a tire kicker and not committed to success, you didn’t have a
choice in the matter anyway. You wanted in, those were the terms
offered. I just hope you realize that success begins and ends with
you, regardless of how much we can help…
And we can help a lot.
So that’s one thing I’m probably going to do very soon is take away
the trial period. If you’re promoting Earn1KaDay, please remove
reference to the 14 day trial period in your promotions.
That’s not all, but that’s a start. Next week, if not sooner, I’ll
be telling you what’s next, and it will make you very happy you’re
a member of Earn1KaDay.
It might even make you say “I’m a lucky duck to be a member of
Earn1KaDay”.
