I’m sorry that I’m running late today. I came down to our condo at
the shore yesterday and have been spending time this morning not
quite relaxing, but not quite work related either.
It’s beautiful here, unlike a short distance away where they had
blazing fires which destroyed much of the rebuilding that some
shore towns just finished after Superstorm Sandy. It’s so sad, so
devastating for the people and for the businesses.
Fortunately for Atlantic City, it didn’t affect us.
I just turned a page in my life’s calendar yesterday, and I have to
admit that life is good… not every day, but enough, and I
appreciate what I’ve been given… the opportunities, the
reasonably good health, the friends… oh so many online friends
especially.
I’m lucky, and I appreciate you. I hope you count your blessings
now and then as well.

You know what? I just went into Aweber to send this email and I
see that last week’s email is still there in draft mode. I guess I
didn’t send it, and it was actually a sort of important one. I’m so
sorry about that.
It looks like I put it on the blog, but didn’t send it in Aweber,
so maybe you read it on the blog. Just in case…
… what I’ll do is combine the two into this email. Here’s last
week’s greeting, and I’ll copy in the other threads as well.
I guess I must be having some senior moments. 
##### September 6th email:
Huge news this week, but first a personal note and “case study”…
Last week I mentioned that my wife’s swollen feet might prevent us
from going to the condo.
Well… I’ve been talking about brick walls, and will some more in
this email, so after I wrote and sent that email to you, I started
thinking about this latest brick wall in our personal life.
What really was the issue was the fact that not only was she in
pain, but more so that she couldn’t get her shoes on.
So we talked, and I asked her if I were to go to the shoe store and
find comfortable shoes in a larger size, would she want to go. She
said yes, I found them, and off we went.
By the way, I don’t know what the clerk was thinking when I told him
I wanted to buy women’s shoes in a fairly large size.
We had a nice weekend, she got to relax probably much more than at
our house because there aren’t any stairs at the condo, and it was
nice.
Brick walls aren’t always tough to go over, under, around, or
through if you really think about them right.
So while down there, I was thinking while relaxing, that at one
point when Rachel and I were partners, she rewrote the copy for the
Earn1KaDay sales page and the main headline talked about “take you
by the hands” support, and you know, with around 800 people here, I
just can’t do that with everyone, because it implies a sort of one
on one coaching program for every individual that wants it.
And I really didn’t like promising that, so with the latest rewrite
of the sales copy, it doesn’t say that anymore.
But I was thinking… why not provide a section of the forum where
we can really give that to people? How tough would that be? What’s
the brick wall preventing it?
I decided to open up a new section called Personal Coaching, and
anyone who posts a thread can get not only my advice, but that of
all the other smart and caring people in our family.
It won’t replace one on one face to face coaching because it will
be more public, but I really think it might be better for some
people because any individual coach only comes with a limited
perspective, whereas all the expertise we have inside Earn1KaDay
adds a whole new dimension, exponentially.
This won’t replace the Personal Challenges section, just like the
Breakthrough Challenges section didn’t, and this won’t replace
Breakthrough Challenges either. Those are for setting goals and
moving forward, Personal Coaching threads will be when someone
knows what they want to do, but they’ve hit a brick wall of their
own and need help getting past it.
It will also bring into focus what training people need, and maybe
we already have it inside the download area, and I can find it for
you, or maybe it will show what needs to be found or created, and
I can in many cases make that happen, especially if it’s a common
need.
I hope this becomes a popular area of the forum. Bob Hale noticed
it this past week, and jumped in, and you can see the response he
got. I think it was fabulous, from several members, and it seems
like the suggestions have gotten him focused on what he really needs
and wants to do, whereas in his first post, he wasn’t.
Let us help you too, or maybe you can help others.
If you’re struggling, ask for help there.
If you’re a coach and can help, feel free to show off. In fact,
let’s make it a competition of sorts to see who gives the best
advice and helps the most people.
Actually, I have my own brick wall at the moment, but I didn’t want
to be one of the first to ask for help. I want it to be those who
need it more than I do.
