This has been one of those weeks where I made incredible progress
on a variety of things, but it hasn’t yet resulted in income.
This happens all the time, and sometimes it’s frustrating in the
world we now live in, where attention spans are so limited, and
patience often is in short supply.
I’m reminded of one of my favorite new toys that I got for myself
last fall. It’s one of those popcorn popper machines, where you
flip a switch, then put the oil and the salt and the popcorn into
the kettle, and wait a while, and suddenly it starts to erupt with
goodness into the big pan below.
Sometimes when I put the popcorn in, it takes longer to start
popping, and I wonder if there’s something wrong.
But with patience… pop, pop, pop, pop…
So sometimes you have to just know that what you’re doing will
work, put in the ingredients and the “magic sauce” and wait until
the income starts coming in.
That’s what I’m going through right now, but I have faith that in a
reasonable amount of time, good things will happen.
So yeah, this week I spent quite a bit of money on investing in
things that right now are just not bringing in income, but I’m not
worried.
I’ll be sharing some of those investment decisions, and the
results, in the coming weeks and months ahead.
Oh, and hey… Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all the Irish, part Irish,
and anyone else who likes to wear green on that fun day.
