What a challenging couple weeks it’s been. Sandy, then the
nor’easter brought almost blizzard like conditions to the area.
But you wouldn’t know it looking outside today, the snow has almost
all melted, Sunday and Monday is forecast to be near 70 degrees,
sunny and beautiful.
Meanwhile, there are still people in the area without electricity,
it’s 11 days since Sandy hit. It’s downright cold at night to be
without a furnace working. Now that the election is over, it’s time
for politicians to be sniping at inept utility companies rather
than each other for a change.
I know, it’s a huge cleanup effort, and we have to have patience,
but when I heard that some out of state utility workers that were
brought here to help out weren’t allowed to do anything except
stand on the ground and make sure nobody touched a live wire,
rather than fix the wire… well, that just isn’t right. That story
was told by a utility worker, who said there were at least 500 of
them that were told by local workers not to touch “our wires”.
Last weekend I took a trip down to see how my condo fared, and all
is well there. There were reports that the Atlantic City boardwalk
had been completely destroyed and the beaches were a mess. Well,
don’t always believe what you read online, it all looked perfectly
normal in the main sections.
Last week at this time, gas lines were insane at the few stations
that were able to pump fuel, yesterday I went through town and
there were open stations with no lines at all.
And today’s my granddaughter’s 1st birthday. 
There’s always sunshine at the end of even the darkest times, and
more than ever I appreciate being a full time Internet marketer.
