This has been an exhausting week. I don’t know why, but web classes
and webinars take a toll on me, getting ready, doing them,
converting the GoToWebinar output to mp4, lots of emails to answer
about “will there be a replay” even when I say in the email that
there will be, and more.
We did 3 of them already this week, and there’s another one this
afternoon.
Then I can take a nap.
I hope your week has been exceptional, and the weekend is better.

Notable news:
Most of my week was spent in various stages of the Nanacast web
classes. Josh Anderson was very gracious in giving of his time on 2
separate days, a total of around 3 hours plus preparation time, and
I wanted to make the most of it.
I went in thinking I knew quite a bit about the subject, but now I
realize just how powerful Nanacast really is, what I’ve done is
just the tip of the iceberg as far as what can be done.
I’ll never need to touch most of the capabilities, but it’s nice to
know they’re there. For once there’s a software package that’s
flexible enough to adapt itself to your business, rather than the
other way around.
There have been comments in the forum and elsewhere about how
expensive Nanacast is (it’s less expensive than other solutions
like Infusionsoft, that’s one reason I chose it), but in reality
it’s not expensive.
There are many single function products that are the same price as
Nanacast, and they only do that single function, instead of
powering your business.
Nanacast does this for me… It’s my product launch platform, it’s
my affiliate management system, it makes it easy to do upsells, it
provides secure download management, it has a powerful sales
reporting interface, it makes it easy to sync buyers to my email
list… and much more.
For much less than 5 bucks a day.
Just one 5BAD project and you’ve made enough to afford this
platform which can bring you increased profits. It’s almost
quadrupled my monthly income from March 2010 until now. Just the
easy upsells has added around $4000 a month to profits.
And last month I paid over $15,000 to affiliates. Considering they
only got paid about half for the business they brought me, and
considering I wouldn’t have had that business without them and
Nanacast’s affiliate management system, they means to me that
Nanacast brought me an additional $15K in income last month. Plus
the income for the easy upsells. Plus more.
I’m not trying to sell you on Nanacast because I’ll get a
commission for doing so, I’m trying to sell you on Nanacast, if
it’s right for your business, because if it helps you 5% as much as
it’s helped me, you’ll love me for suggesting it.
If you don’t have products, or if you’d rather be an affiliate
selling someone else’s products, rather than have affiliates
selling YOUR products, then you don’t need Nanacast yet.
If you do, this is my affiliate link, if you use it I’ll help coach
you on the best ways to get Nanacast up and running quickly::

And from the 5 Bucks a Day forum…
I don’t know, maybe I was having a rough day, maybe I had just
heard the same complaint so many times that I had to release the
bottled up thoughts inside my head.
Someone had purchased 5 Bucks a Day Revisited, and realized that
the members area login over there might change from time to time
(if spammers get in or someone starts sharing the passwords, but
otherwise it won’t), and asked if there was another way to notify
people of password changes for those that didn’t like getting an
email every day from me.
Here’s what I said in response:
I’m sending out the password updates through that list, as
promised, and it won’t be reset frequently, only if I sense that
the login details are being shared with non buyers allowing
spammers into the forum.
OK, my turn to rant…
I’m sorry if you don’t like my emails (one a day on average, is
that really a lot?). I like to think that most of my emails give
some kind of value, maybe not to everybody every time, but to
somebody every time.
I admit I get some complaints about too many emails occasionally,
but I get 10 times as many people telling me that they appreciate
and look forward to them (really).
And it seems that the complaints come in reply to emails that are
total content with no pitch at all.
If I were sending the same offers to you as a dozen other gurus for
the same high price products, I could understand, but I really do
try to find under the radar and underpriced products with high
value, along with a lot of content going out to the lists.
For example, this week, we’re running 3 webinars. One today (so I
sent out an email to announce it yesterday, one as a reminder an
hour before this afternoon, and there will be an email with the
recording link tomorrow).
So yeah, 3 emails in 3 days, all total content, no pitch, for that
one webiner.
Then tomorrow, a reminder for the webinar Rachel’s running
tomorrow, on top of the replay link to today’s webinar. Rachel’s
webinar with Brian Johnson will be heavy on content with a pitch at
the end. People that want to stay for the content and leave after
that ends will get a lot of value, we don’t care if you leave
early, but we owe it to Brian who’s agreed to give of his time and
information to allow him to talk about his offer. He wouldn’t do it
otherwise, of course.
Then the same deal, on Thursday we’ll send out the replay link, and
also I’ll remind people about the 2nd webinar with Josh Anderson
(again total 100% content). And on Friday the replay for that.
So this week 5 or 6 emails between Monday and Friday, almost total
content.
I’m trying to teach people the skills they need to build a
business, and sometimes I recommend products you might be
interested in.
Is that so bad?
So yeah, an email a day, and between Monday and Friday almost total
content and teaching. Maybe there will be something for sale on the
weekend, I don’t know yet.
And this forum. It came as part of your purchase of a book I put my
heart and soul and 5 years of experience into, and charged $5.00,
most of which I didn’t get paid because I paid 100% commissions to
affiliates. Included with that $5 book was this forum free forever,
a download area that will get new stuff added to forever (did
anyone notice I added something last week? Nobody said thanks, none
needed).
And all I ask is that you stay on my email list so that I can tell
you if the password changes and that maybe some day somebody might
see something that I mention that might earn me a commission if it
helps you or your business?
Is that asking too much?
I would hate to see people locked out of the forum because they
don’t get notified when the login changes, but fair is fair, right?
I suspect this post will be taken as being very harsh, but it’s
frustrating to work this hard and be told that what I do, and the
blood, sweat, and tears I put into this as part of a normal 80 to
90 hour work week bothers people because I send an email on average
once a day.
Oh, one last thing. You might get an email a day from me on
average. I probably got 20 emails today from people that asked if
there would be a replay for today’s webinar because they missed it.
And the email they were replying to said in the P.S. that there
would be a replay.
I don’t mind the questions, I don’t mind the emails, but hey, I get
a lot more than 1 email a day, and I realize that you get emails
from other people. So do I. I learn from them all, or I unsubscribe
if there’s never any reason to read something from Joe Marketer,
but I sure as heck don’t unsubscribe from the marketers that I
bought from that might sometime in the future send me an update to
the product.
Rant off.
Sorry, I’m sure I offended a few people, but that’s part of the job.
It’s called tough love.
Yes, I get unsubscribes every time I send an email, whether it’s a
content filled email or a pitch email.
And every time I send an email I get more positive feedback
thanking me for alerting someone to something, or brightening their
day, or helping them in some way, than I get complaints that I’m
bothering them.
So I’ll continue doing what I’m doing and hope that most of the
people on my list continue to appreciate it, most of all my friends
here at Earn1KaDay.
Does it hurt to get unsubscribes and complaints? Sure, especially
after a week like this when I spent almost all week, probably 40
hours, doing things that provided content that might make a
difference in some people’s business and therefore their lives.
I know, the people that unsubscribe aren’t really mad at me, but it
frustrates me that someday I’ll send out something that could have
changed their life, and they won’t receive it. That’s too bad.
There’s no forum thread about this, if someone wants to start one
in the Lounge section, or in Email Marketing, I don’t mind.

Remember, there’s a special section in the forum called “Special
Offers (By Authors), where members offer their products at a
special price to members.
I’d rather not highlight each one individually, so that this email
doesn’t start looking like a classified ad section, but sometimes
you can get some nice bargains and support your forum friends, so
please remember to check it out next time you drop by the forum:

Reminder: If you’re new to Earn1KaDay, or didn’t remember this, all
the weekly emails, from the beginning of time, are archived on the
blog here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/wp/
If you ever miss an email, or want to check the archives, you can
always go there and do a search.
Another reminder: I get asked (a lot) about the affiliate program
to Earn1KaDay. A thread was set up long ago with details, here:

##########
That’s just a short review of some of the highlights, there is much
more going on all the time at the forum. Don’t be a stranger
there, that’s where the primary value of your membership is, after
all. We’re not there to chat so much (though there is a lounge
there if you want to unwind), we’re there to learn from each other,
and share with each other, and as you can see from the above sample
threads, there’s a lot of that happening.

Until next week, I wish you the very best in everything.
