I can just smell spring now. Though it’s still the middle of
February, my least favorite month of all time, today’s supposed to
be in the 60′s, but just for today. It gets colder again for the
weekend. But still, a sniff of nice weather after what we’ve been
through is nice.
That also goes for sniffing success including getting a sniff of 1K
days by getting your first one. That’s why Earn1KaDay was started
originally, because I knew that once someone got their first $1000
day, they’d inevitably get more, easier, faster.
I think there’s evidence of that all through the success threads,
and I’m sure not everyone is posting their success thread (in fact
I know of one that got a 1K day recently that didn’t post, though
I’m not sure if it was his first or not).
Plus, success doesn’t have to mean 1K days anyway, some people
would be deliriously happy making a consistent $100 or $200 a day
from IM to pay their car, mortgage, whatever, and that’s cool. Get
your first $100 day if that’s an easier number to get a handle on,
and take it from there. Remember, that $200 post it note of mine is
where I started from.
It seems so long ago, but it wasn’t. Actually from the time I got
interested in learning the IM trade, until today, is probably less
than it takes a person to go through college, medical school and
internship, and I think I’m probably earning an income that rivals
a lot of doctors, without all the stress and long hours and
investment. You could do that too, because I’m definitely not
special.

Long, long ago, I wrote a report called “Just Write It: How to Win
Forum Friends and Influence People”, which I’ve always been proud
of.

I’m going to out a few people today because I just feel like it,
and because I had a webinar with Wil Mattos yesterday about similar
topics, some of which came from that report’s influence.
I’m starting to think that too many people here aren’t either
reading that report as often as they should (which should be at
least as often as they read 5 Bucks a Day, if not more), or they
aren’t paying attention.
Some people have definitely paid attention, and are experiencing
success because of it.
I’m probably going to regret writing this article, because people
might expect to get the same level of help I gave some others
quietly, but that’s the risk I’m taking. Just be aware, I’m only
one person, with only 24 hours in a day, and I sleep some of them.
For example…
Wil Mattos bought a reseller license to Earn1KaDay when it was
offered at a price way too cheap, and asked me if I’d do a webinar
with him to promote his license. I agreed because Wil’s done me
some favors in the past.
The result: I just looked and Wil’s got 31 active members in the
forum right now, at $39.95 each. Not a bad return on investment.
Another example…
Robert Peacock posted a thread about using Fiverr to earn money,
and got people’s interest up, including mine (not because I want to
do fiverr gigs, but because it sounded like something a lot of
members would be interested in).
So I encouraged Robert to write the report and said Rachel and I
would consider JV’ing with him on it, I bought the domain, Rachel
wrote the sales copy, I put it on Nanacast, and quickly sold well
over 500 copies of his report.
Another example…
Lynne Ivatt put together a PLR pack this week with articles that
could be used to promote Earn1KaDay. Those packs have seemed to
have been popular (there’s a thread in the forum abuot them if she
hasn’t sold out yet).
Why was she the first person to do something so simple and so
obvious, almost 4 years into the existence of Earn1KaDay?
I could give more examples, but the point is, what do these people
have in common?
More than one thing, actually. First of all they took action. But
more than anything they, especially in the case of Wil and Robert,
they weren’t afraid to approach someone for help in reaching their
goal.
I didn’t really know Robert well before he posted about his fiverr
success, but I do now. I consider him a forum friend.
If he wouldn’t have posted his idea, he never would have gotten on
my radar, or on the radar of others here.
That’s the whole point of my “Just Write It: How to Win Forum
Friends and Influence People” report, isn’t it?
Be willing to get out of lurker mode, open up to people, ask for
help, give help, and eventually it’s inevitable that you’ll succeed.
Let me repeat that…
Eventually it’s inevitable that you’ll succeed.
Sometimes it takes a while to develop the number of forum friends
that it takes, but it happens. There are many, many forum members
here in this insiders club that have developed relationships by
doing exactly what I talked about in that report.
And then taking action.
It really is simple, when you think about it. But for some reason
there are still Earn1KaDay members that haven’t posted their intro
thread, they don’t log in other than as a guest, they don’t post.
We have better contribution percentages than other forums, but
still, I’d like to see 100% of our members posting at least once a
week. Is that too much to ask, considering that everyone who joins
really wants to succeed?
Not just for me, but for you and all of us. Some people think they
don’t have anything to contribute.
To that, I have a one-word answer: Not true.

What am I selling here? Nothing really. Unless you want to speed up
the process by committing to coming to the Earn1KaDay seminar in
May, you’ll develop those forum friends 50 times faster that way,
I’d say.
Well, maybe only 10 times faster, but you get the idea.
