How To Double Your Bank Account Without Making More Money

by Rachel Rofe

Hey guys,

I made this video to show some ways in which you can squeeze more money out of your existing assets.

I had written a report about 1.5 years ago on this and it became much more popular than I would have thought, so I thought I’d expand here:

As always if you have any questions just let me know and I’m happy to clarify.

Also, please also comment below with any ideas of things you’d like me to blog about in the future!

With love,

Rachel

Rachel, as expected, another superb video. The excellent content squeezed into this 17 minutes is better than “expert” books I’ve read on the subject. Great stuff.

    For scanning receipts etc:
Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 ($250) + EverNote (Free or Premium).

Scanner does back and front (auto), converts to PDF. Evernote indexes the PDFs and gives you notes, snippets etc.

For tracking I use a painfully simple excel sheet and “fuzzy math”. I round income down and expenses up.

In one column, monthly income – rough estimates is fine. In the next column monthly outgoings. Total them up and take expenses from income.

Very simple, but the idea is to have more left at the end of each month. The game is to push expenses down and income up.

To save, refi you mortgage, research home and car insurance rates (I saved $600 on home ins, plus increased coverage). Negotiate with Cable/TV for better rates etc.

    For more income – see Earn1KaDay :)
