Special webcast opportunity, weekly downloads, and more…

by 5buckguy

Welcome back to our weekly Earn1KaDay updates. I hope you enjoy
these snapshots in time of what’s going on. If you ever miss an
issue, you can always go to the email archives on the blog, you
know, there’s a link at the bottom of this email.

Each issue, as you’ve noticed, points you to the new downloads, the
top new threads of the week, and occasional special offers from
members or myself that you might be interested in checking out.

Just a personal note, in the “well that figures!” category, I’m
always one of the last people to get my tax paperwork done, usually
mailing out the forms the very last day, April 15th, unless that
falls on a weekend, and in that case on Monday.

So this year I decide to get the forms done a little early, I filed
electronically a couple weeks ago. So what happens? I read today
that residents of my county, and 2 other counties in northern New
Jersey, can postpone filing their returns until May 11th because of
the storms and floods we had in March. Ugh, that figures. :-)

Here are this week’s new downloads:

Camtasia Cash Secrets (new topics):

I added 2 more sections of the course this week, and also produced
the DVD for those that want to just get it all at once without
having to chew up the bandwidth by streaming those mammoth files.

I have some other good packages coming as soon as I get a couple
hours to spare, so look for them hopefully this weekend, maybe
even today.

Seminar update:

I confirmed one last speaker this week. I’m sure you’ll enjoy meeting
and hearing Rachel Rofe give a short presentation. She’s the person
behind Burn Your To Do List, and I know she’s had her hands full
putting together an outsourcing operation that on paper looks like
a small IM’ers dream come true.
http;//e1kad.com/burnyourtodolist

I hear things are finally settling down, after some initial
problems, and I asked her to tell those of us who are considering
going it alone in building an outsourcing team what to watch out
for.

Here’s the registration page for the seminar:

Continue to watch this thread for more news:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10186

For those of you who’ve been putting off registering your seat, the
seminar isn’t really that far away, so don’t put it off too much
longer, OK? I’d hate to see anyone get shut out, and I do expect a
few major JV partners to start mailing for me very soon. Seats are
obviously not unlimited.

##############################################

I was offered a special opportunity last week and jumped on it.

Out of the blue, a verifiable IM “guru” contacted me, I’m not sure
how he got my name, but his was certainly recognizable and prompted
me to open the email.

The email was from Jimmy D. Brown. Most of you probably know of
him, if not he’s just about as big a legend in IM as there is.
Right up there with Marlon Sanders, Jim Edwards, and a handful of
others that are very knowledgable, well spoken, and willing to pass
on their considerable knowledge without making you give up an arm
and a leg.

For example, I think Jimmy can be credited with coining the term
“private label rights” with his Nicheology site (he’s sold that off
now, but I was a member for quite a while pre-5bucksaday days).

In addition to creating uncountable numbers of short reports and
eBooks, Jimmy also pioneered, to a certain extent, the membership
site business model, and has tweaked it over the years.

His proposal to me in this regard got my immediate and enthusiastic
attention.

Jimmy is making available to us a webcast about his “fixed term
membership” model (FTM for short). It runs a bit over an hour (he
gave me preview access), and it’s full of actionable ideas.

If you’ve ever thought that the idea of having your own membership
site is attractive because of the income potential, but
unattractive because of the work that would be involved, I think
you’ll be interested in watching Jimmy’s webcast. He explains the 5
reasons why a traditional membership site (like Earn1KaDay and his
original Nicheology) is a bad idea, and the 5 reasons why a FTM is
a good idea.

He convinced me. :-)

If you’ve been watching Jason and Robert and Michael with their
webinar courses, you can think of those as FTM’s. There’s a limited
amount of content, it’s sent out over a fixed number of weeks or
months, and once that time period ends, there’s no more
responsibility.

Of course FTM’s don’t need to be as intensive or as complicated as
a webinar series, they can be lessons drip fed over several months
by autoresponder. They could work in any niche, actually probably
better in non-IM niches. And of course the content could be created
by ghostwriters.

The webcast Thursday evening isn’t the same as a webinar, it was
prerecorded, so no live questions will be taken, but the time you
can tune in is more flexible.

Visit this page to see the details and sign up to watch:
http://e1kad.com/membernaire

Even if you find the times inconvenient, sign up anyway, and let me
know. If there’s enough need to give alternate access, I’ll try to
convince Jimmy to do that, but do try to watch during the times
alloted just to be safe.

If you have any interest in all in ever having your own membership
site, I think you’ll like this one. Again, the link to register:

Reminder: If you’re new to Earn1KaDay, or didn’t remember this, all
the weekly emails, from the beginning of time, are archived on the
blog here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/wp/

If you ever miss an email, or want to check the archives, you can
always go there and do a search.

Another reminder: I get asked (a lot) about the affiliate program
to Earn1KaDay. A thread was set up long ago with details, here:

That’s just a short review of some of the highlights, there is much
more going on all the time at the forum. Don’t be a stranger
there, that’s where the primary value of your membership is, after
all. We’re not there to chat so much (though there is a lounge
there if you want to unwind), we’re there to learn from each other,
and share with each other, and as you can see from the above sample
threads, there’s a lot of that happening.

Until next week, I wish you the very best in everything.

Dennis, the 5 Bucks a Day Guy.
