Earn1KaDay seminar, L1TAD affiliate program, crappy WSO’s, and more…

by 5buckguy

Welcome to yet another issue of the Earn1KaDay newsletter. It’s
meant to be your weekly reminder to check into the forum and catch
up. I hope it does the job for those that aren’t there every day
anyway.

This week I spent most of my time of LearnOneThingADay. There were
some technical challenges, but I do think they’re behind me. If you
noticed a problem earlier in the week, and didn’t tell me about it,
check now, and if there still is a problem, let me know.

Here are this week’s new downloads:

List Building Explosion:

IM Web Graphics Pack:

Writing Riches:

Offline Marketing With Coupon Calendars:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9796

This ended up getting a thumbs down from several members, but it
might be something that would work for you. It’s a small download
and after 10 minutes reading the beginning, you’ll probably know if
it’s for you.

Instant Infopreneur:

This one shows how to profit from private label rights products.

Last week when I launched LearnOneThingADay for Earn1KaDay members,
I mentioned that an affiliate program was set up, but not to send
any traffic to the site yet, until it had a chance to shake out.

At this point, I think we’re ready. You’ll get 100% recurring
commissions paid directly to your PayPal account for half the sales
you refer. Since this is a site that should appeal to newbies as
well as more experienced Internet marketers, you could build up a
nice monthly income if you have a good list or some other way to
send targeted traffic.

You should have already joined the site so that you can write a
good review, and then the affiliate signup page is linked on the
sidebar of the L1TAD blog.

If you can help us grow, I’d sure appreciate it. :-)

Forum threads of note:

Tim wants to do another webinar for us, and put up a poll to
recommend a topic:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9777

##########

I had no intention of starting a fight, but this thread got a
little heated for a while:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9795

It was meant to share a resource to create copywriting swipe file
content.

Another reminder about why using trademarks in a domain name is
risky:

There’s been some discussion about mind mapping software, including
this thread:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9775

Obviously FreeMind is easy, and free, and has a lot going for it.
There are plenty of other software alternatives. My way of thinking
is, what are you going to use the map for? A product? Personal
inspiration such as outlining your next product? Something to show
on a video or webinar?

Copy Cheats uses the MindJet mind mapping software. I didn’t
choose it, since it’s a privately branded version of a Derek
Franklin product, and a very complicated and full mind map. That
couldn’t have been done quite so well with FreeMind, certainly, but
MindJet costs around $300.

One thing that happened during 2009 is that I realized from working
with Jason and Robert and Daily Seminar that mind mapping, which I
shunned in years past, is truly an essential skill that you should
have in your bag of tricks. If you aren’t familiar with the “how
to” for mind maps, there’s a download in the archives, or it’s one
of the first lessons inside LearnOneThingADay.

I was originally going to quietly avoid discussion of another
Earn1KaDay seminar this year for one or two reasons. But since Tim
brought it up in these threads, I couldn’t avoid it any longer:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9779

and he went so far as to pick a location and approximate date in
this thread:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9819

This however, is the most important thread. Please answer the poll
as to your likelihood of attending, your answer will be anonymous:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9846

So, OK, if there’s enough interest, I’ll do one more. Honestly last
year’s attendance was a huge disappointment. I’m hoping the time of
year (May) and location (Las Vegas) will be better than January in
Orlando (nothing against Orlando, of course).

At this point we have enough quality speakers to put on a good
show, and there will be more that haven’t confirmed yet (mentioned
in the thread above).

If you’d like to go, please vote in the poll, even if it’s only a
“possible”. Otherwise we’ll just scrap the idea, and that would be
a shame. Ask anyone who went last year how the networking went, not
to mention the content, and you’ll be sold.

I’m hoping we have a larger crowd to network with this year, so try
to make it, and please post your “definitely” or “probable”
response in the thread.

I mentioned for one of the downloads this week that several members
have given it a thumbs down. An example of this is a thread Tim
started about the WSO that I purchased from. It was actually a
fairly expensive resell rights product, that came highly
recommended from testimonials, so I bought it. Plus the sales copy
convinced several members to request that I make the purchase
before they knew that I had.

Anyway, here’s Tim’s tips about spotting fake products:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9798

It’s certainly not easy, even with these tips, but the point is,
you can’t believe sales copy.

No more forced continuity:

Andrew posted a neat tip for those using e-junkie:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9770

##########

I mentioned this thread before about offline services, the list has
grown quite nicely from recent responses:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9700

##########

I reviewed Jason Fladlien’s latest product, Visitor Value
Multiplier, here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9838

Bottom line: I felt it was excellent.

##########

Steve’s ranting about sites that are difficult to use:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9792

One site he mentioned was LearnOneThingADay, though he didn’t give
me credit for an early launch to members before everything was
closer to “perfect”. His thoughts are worth keeping in mind when you
design your own sites.

And yes, I did simplify my page. :-)

Reminder: If you’re new to Earn1KaDay, or didn’t remember this, all
the weekly emails, from the beginning of time, are archived on the
blog here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/wp/

If you ever miss an email, or want to check the archives, you can
always go there and do a search.

Another reminder: I get asked (a lot) about the affiliate program
to Earn1KaDay. A thread was set up long ago with details, here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=417

##########

That’s just a short review of some of the highlights, there is much
more going on all the time at the forum. Don’t be a stranger
there, that’s where the primary value of your membership is, after
all. We’re not there to chat so much (though there is a lounge
there if you want to unwind), we’re there to learn from each other,
and share with each other, and as you can see from the above sample
threads, there’s a lot of that happening.

##############################################

Until next week, I wish you the very best in everything.
