There’s some golden nuggets in this interview, I couldn’t resist

Well, I had my first big challenge as far as a webinar, when I
interviewed Derek Franklin on Monday. Fortunately I always have
people log in a half hour early so that we can sync up, and make
sure the audio is good.
This time the audio wasn’t good. Actually it was good except for
the fact that Derek couldn’t understand a word I was saying, he
said I sounded like Darth Vader, but not understandable. He
attributed it to a super duper sound card on his new computer, and
evidently GoToWebinar doesn’t play nice with whatever settings he
had, and he couldn’t figure out how to make the adjustment.
So, again fortunately, I had sent him a list of the major questions
I was going to ask him, and he did the webinar from that. What
that meant was he couldn’t answer questions from the audience
because I couldn’t ask them.
And there were a couple other spots where there were audio cutouts.
So what I’m going to do is get together with Derek on a private
webinar on Monday and get him to re-record the missing spots, and
ask him the questions that came in from attendees, and any that you
might feed me between now and Monday. I’ll then splice that into
what was acceptable on Monday, and then upload the finished result
hopefully by the middle of next week.
That’s assuming Derek can figure out his problem by Monday or use a
different computer. So stay tuned, those who were waiting for the
recording and didn’t join us live will have to be patient.

For example, Dan didn’t receive an email from eBay warning him that
he needed to fix a problem with his site, and since he didn’t know
he had to do anything, his ePN account was terminated. My
recommendation: don’t use Comcast for emails that are important to
you.
