Thanks for opening my regular email, it’s unusual for me to send 3
in a week to this list, except long ago days when I had to tell you
the server was down or something, thank goodness that hasn’t
happened since we moved to the HostGator server.
And this looks to be a full email, so let’s get right to it, shall
we?

Here are this week’s new downloads:
Webinar Best Practices webinar:
/notloggedin.php
I think this really went well. The recordings are available now,
and the transcript should be edited and uploaded by early next
week, if not sooner.
Web Video Business Essentials webinar:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8392
Our latest webinar, this one with video veteran Kevin Rockwell, was
held on Wednesday, the recordings are available already, and the
transcript should be up sometime next week. There were some great
tips in here about things like the types of equipment and software
to use, and Kevin gave a link to his website where you can download
other tutorials and ask him questions (or you can PM him on the
forum).
Tip Drop Explored:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8339
Our member Tom (impact-productions) was an early adopter of the new
social marketing site, TipDrop, and did a quick series of videos
that he’s donated to the members area. More on TipDrop later in
the email.
Internet Secret Agent:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8394
a new report by Paul Hooper-Kelly that I picked up rights to. Good
information, it may be a review for advanced IM’ers, but good for
those with less niche exploration experience, and certainly a good
review for all.
Product Creation Crash Course:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8368
Website Flipping Tactics:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8395
The Ultimate Guide to Writing Your Own Ebook:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8397
The above 3 all come with rights for you to profit with. The one
on writing eBooks is particularly good, I thought in skimming them.

News this week on the IM front was scary, wasn’t it? That was the
message I was bringing in my earlier emails, some of which couldn’t
wait until today. If you didn’t read those, I’ll point to some of
the threads specifically later in this email, but my point was that
you need to diversify your income sources. You shouldn’t be
reliant on one third party to provide the bulk of your income.
In other words, and I’ve said this before, sit down for a day and
figure out what would happen if either or all of the following
happened: Google terminates your AdSense and/or AdWords accounts.
ePN terminates their relationship with you. PayPal freezes your
account. Your website and/or server gets hacked. Your web host
goes out of business. Your registrar (most famously, GoDaddy) gets
a spam complaint and takes your domain name away from you. Your
search engine rankings plummet because of a new algorithm, or
because your server was down when the spiders came to visit.
Are you ready? Of course, not all are going to happen at once, so
you have multiple streams of income so that you can survive if you
lose one of the others?
I recommended Rachel Rofe’s offline marketing report, that’s
certainly a way to do well in a pinch if all else fails, or as a
primary source of income, for $7 you can learn 13 different ways of
providing service to local businesses:
http://www.e1kad.com/getthemonline
And think about it, if you have recurring income from your offline
clients, who cares about Google? Who cares about eBay? Who even
cares about search engine ranking at all if you’re doing something
like setting up email marketing campaigns for your clients, which
I’ve recommended for a long time.
And, I recommended the Rhodes Brothers Membership Blueprints launch,
especially with the Earn1KaDay special discount (only good through
Saturday at noon eastern):
http://MembershipBlueprints.com/dennis
There are plenty of other ways to bring in extra streams of income,
including using some the ideas in just this week’s new downloads
(site flipping, product creation, etc.).
Remember, we showcase 12 different business models here at Earn1KaDay
so don’t put all your eggs into the one basket. For a long time,
MMS was the business model with the most interest and followers,
as others get more interest I’ll do whatever is necessary to get
more resources and information on those others.

Forum threads of note:
Last week I highlighted Tamara Riddle’s find of TradeBit, and her
initial success in getting good Google rankings. Based on the
comments in the thread last week, Tamara decided to produce a
series of videos about TradeBit, since the site’s own documentation
left a little bit to be desired.
She put up a special offer for the video series here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8362
I know Tamara’s been working incredibly long hours getting the
research and the videos done this week, but she’s got at least 3 of
them done already, out of 5, and those who buy before the next
video is posted will get a lower price than if they wait for them
all to be done. I’ve seen the first 3 and they’re very well done.
I thought video 2 alone was worth the price of the entire course.
To those that haven’t heard of TradeBit before, it’s a place where
you can sell your products, even products that you have PLR or
resell rights to, and have them delivered digitally through the
site. It’s exciting because Google seems to currently love
TradeBit, so if you set up your listings properly, you could get
some good rankings and some extra sales. If you’re having trouble
getting your own pages ranked well on Google, this is something you
should try.
And yes, there are plenty of products in our members area that you
could list on TradeBit. Just be sure the rights allow you to do so,
they must say that you’re allowed to resell the product. If in
doubt, ask me. Otherwise get out there and take action with this
before the rest of the IM world finds out.

New social marketing site launched (keep your eye on this one):
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8322
Gregg was the first to post on the forum about TipDrop. It was
launched by Jonathan Leger, who I’ve followed for quite a while,
his AdSense Tracker was my favorite tool when I was heavy into
AdSense.
My take on TipDrop: it’s a junior Twitter that’s growing up fast.
It’s organized differently than Twitter (to some that’s a good
thing). It’s somewhat addictive. There’s a tremendous opportunity
(I’m getting some decent clickthroughs to my Earn1KaDay sales page
from my TipDrop profile page). I think that will only increase
when TipDrop acquires more Google respect, and I think that’s
inevitable.
What I like is when someone wants to view or add to a tip sheet
that you’ve started, they see your profile page. And TipDrop
allows you to have as many as 10 links of your own (they’re
do-follow, by the way), with whatever anchor text you want.
TipDrop is based on credibility, people can vote up or vote down
your tips, and the more positive rating you have the higher your
tips (to your own or to other people’s tip sheets) will show on the
page.
Right now it’s wide open on starting new tip sheets. I suggest you
claim your space on the long tail keywords that you want to
dominate.
And, we have a thread in the Social Marketing section of the forum
for you to find fellow members and help raise their credibility on
TipDrop (by clicking on the up arrows on their tips, and if you have
good tips we’ll return the favor if you ask. That thread is here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8324
Here’s my page for an example of what TipDrop looks like:
http://www.tipdrop.com/5buckguy
Jon’s adding new features all the time, the latest one was that
he’s allowing people to follow other people, like in Twitter. A
couple days ago he implemented the ability to put videos inside the
tip posts.
I’m telling you, this is going to be huge, don’t wait 6 months to
get involved, do it today and let’s help each other increase our
credibility there.

But there’s the other side of the coin, as asked by Steve, “are you
someone’s user-generated content?”:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8381

Reportedly, Google is slapping affiliate review sites:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8389
I heard this from Perry Marshall, but I figured he was just trying
to sell with sensationalism again since he was selling something on
the page that he reported this idea at. However, he doesn’t seem
to be the only one thinking this.

This are some of the threads this week about ePN changes:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8334
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8331
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8370
but Scottie got an interesting email from them that might give hope
to many:

That’s just a short review of some of the highlights, there is much
more going on all the time at the forum. Don’t be a stranger
there, that’s where the primary value of your membership is, after
all. We’re not there to chat so much (though there is a lounge
there if you want to unwind), we’re there to learn from each other,
and share with each other, and as you can see from the above sample
threads, there’s a lot of that happening.

Until next week, I wish you the very best in everything.
