If you read all the way through this email, you’ll understand why
I’m so hard on myself this week. Please spare me the lectures, I
know, I know. I’ll do better next time.
But first …

Here are this week’s new downloads:
Make Money With No Money:
/notloggedin.php
Several members asked me to purchase this for the site. At first I
was reluctant because I knew it would be a huge download, and I
thought the information would be pretty basic. But, since you do
have resell rights, and since you could probably break out
different parts of it at a time, I guess it could work out.
This is a 30 video set, I think around 5 hours of video, and yes,
the download size is mammoth. So if you are anxious to get it, you
should have a high speed modem. Otherwise, be patient, this is
probably the thing that convinces me to build another DVD worth of
downloads like the one I released a couple months ago. I’ll try to
make that a priority project.
Making Movies Easily:

This was released last week, but several people asked if they could
have PLR to the report, so I put that together and started a WSO.
If you’re interested in doing that, and changing the report to
monetize the links to Earn1KaDay and Animoto to your affiliate
links, or in any other way, the link to the WSO is in this thread.

Last week I mentioned Chris Endres’ Offline Consultant Toolkit, and
the special deal I convinced him to give us. As mentioned last
week, the discount ends on March 1st. The normal price is $97, our
price is $27 (remember the sales page will say $97, but if you
click through to pay before the 1st, you’ll see the $27 price on
PayPal).
http://e1kad.com/offlinetoolkit
This is the deal where you get pretty much all set up to offer
email marketing services to your local area businesses. You get
site templates for your own sales pages, autoresponder messages to
plug into your customers autoresponder account to demonstrate what
you can do for them, a report outlining how to offer out a 15 day
trial plan to the businesses, and a series of videos for those that
like to watch over someone’s shoulder, you’ll see how Chris does
this.
Marketing high ticket services can be a tough sell, especially in
this economy, but Chris’ plan to offer a 15 day trial, prove to
your prospects that they were able to get a bunch of people onto
their email list within 15 days, and then explain what they should
do with those names (which most Internet marketers are totally
familiar with), is an excellent business model.
By the end of the 15 days, your customer should have a bunch of
people on his list, and some will have started redeeming coupons
(for example if one of the autoresponder messages offers a 10%
discount on a return visit). Will your prospect want you to remove
his customer list from your aWeber account and give up those repeat
visitors, which will only grow in the future as he or she collects
more and more email addresses? Not likely. Bingo, you have a $495
sale to complete the setup, or higher. And probably a $195
monthly recurring income for monthly maintenance.
After the trial is over, you can continue to host their email
addresses on your aWeber account, or you can transfer it to theirs
which of course you can help them set up (and collect aWeber
monthly recurring affiliate commissions as well).
For $27, Chris’s toolkit is something you should consider for your
bag of tricks, if not for immediate use, then for down the road:

(remember, the sales page says $97, but you’ll pay $27)
If you wait until March 1st, it will cost you more (but still be
worth it).
The other thing I recommended last week quickly became the most
successful promotion I’ve ever done (other than when I practically
gave away 5 Bucks a Day when I launched it as a WSO years ago).
That was Jason Fladlien’s “48 Hour Product”, otherwise known as
“Instant Product Creation System”.
http://www.1kad.com/48HourProduct/
There have been discussions in the forum about this, and about
Jason, and the term “genius” was mentioned a couple times. I
agree. I’ve had more discussions with Jason this week on the phone
about various things, and every time I become more and more
impressed.
One thing that’s in the works is my doing an interview with Jason,
hopefully within the next couple weeks. And some possible very big
surprises, one or more of which might be rolled out just to people
who had enough faith in my recommendation to purchase this report
(I know you’re going to like 48 Hour Product and profit from it,
and if you don’t, just let me know and I’ll issue an immediate
refund).
Again, this is a dime sale product, and though the price has risen
since last week, it’s still cheaper than it will be the next time
you look:

Oh, I almost forgot. I said I’ll hopefully be doing an interview
with Jason soon. If you want to suggest some questions for me to
ask, post to this thread here and I’ll see what I can fit in.

Forum threads of note:
Good idea (I thought) from John Reese:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7014
I’m going to do this myself, I had actually intended to do it part
way, but he’s convinced me to go full barrel. What he’s suggesting
is to take an inventory of all your virtual real estate, and find
places where you can market. For example, where are your thank you
pages? Can you recommend something there? You’ve got a buyer with
their credit card in hand, they decided already they trust you.
Hey, it can’t hurt to ask.

Steven Resell got an $18,000 annual pay raise last weekend:

Carl figures he’ll make almost $6000 for 3 afternoon’s work in
March. Here’s how:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6976
and as you’ll see from the responses, he’s seriously underpricing
himself, in the opinion of myself and others. He should read the
Paul Hancox book that I put in the download area last week about
pricing.

A simple way to create a product:

I started this thread, no comments yet, so maybe it wasn’t new
news, but I thought it might help a few people.

Success stories of note:
Long time member Keith says “Take heart the doubters”:

He faced greater odds against IM success than most of us, and is
now seeing some solid results.
And Wil got his “first comma”:

Congratulations, Keith and Wil. Who’s next?

Now, why do I think I’m an idiot sometimes? Confession time. I’ve
been selling on eBay since January 1998, very successfully, still
have around 50 auctions running every day. And out of that I
started a web site selling the same stuff and more, I have a
shipping manager to do all the packing and shipping. We send out
probably a couple hundred packages a week or more.
And I know a little bit about Internet marketing.
But still, I have never bothered to build up an email list of
customers for those products, and think about the loss. My
feedback on eBay is over 32,000 (100% positive), and not everyone
leaves feedback, so there are probably 40,000 customers, some
reasonable percentage of that would have joined my list if I gave
them an incentive.
And from the web site, probably more customers than came through
eBay.
Why didn’t I build a list? Too busy doing other things, and I
didn’t know what I’d talk to them about anyway, but still, don’t
you think it would have been worth the effort to figure that out?
Ugh. One of my projects is to change that. Make offers on my
thank you page like John Reese suggested. Increase my prices like
Paul Hancos suggested, among others including the Formula 5 people
from Stompernet.
Maybe some of those upwards of 100,000 customers might be
interested in Internet marketing, who knows? They’re mostly died
in the wool hobbyists that collect things that we have protective
cases for, so they spend money on their hobby. Why aren’t I taking
advantage of that?
Why indeed. Maybe I’m just venting on myself, and urging you to do
as I say, not as I’ve done, and let’s both step back and look at
our marketing and especially our marketing funnels out there. We
could all do so much better, after all, and I’m not excluded from
the lecture here, obviously.

That’s just a short review of some of the highlights, there is much
more going on all the time at the forum. Don’t be a stranger
there, that’s where the primary value of your membership is, after
all. We’re not there to chat so much (though there is a lounge
there if you want to unwind), we’re there to learn from each other,
and share with each other, and as you can see from the above sample
threads, there’s a lot of that happening.
