Earn1KaDay News (and Happy New Year!)

by 5buckguy

Happy New Year! And thank goodness 2008 is behind us! Personally
I have no complaints. Yes, my IRA accounts took a bath, but I had
no plans of using the funds for retirement soon anyway, so I can
live with that. Unfortunately there are a lot of people that
needed funds from their IRA or 401K to live on, and I really feel
incredibly bad for them, I hope you’re not in that boat.

Anyway, we start the new year with new hope, including, in the
U.S., a new President taking office this month, so we’ll see what
happens there. In the meantime, I still believe Internet marketing
is a huge opportunity for a lot of people, and I hope your 2009
promises for expanding your income with IM come to fruition. It
will take knowledge, perseverance, and above all action to
accomplish, but I know it can be done, and I hope you let
Earn1KaDay and our members help you.

Here are this week’s new downloads:

YouTube Domination:
/notloggedin.php

If you downloaded this earlier in the week from the forum, you
might not have the transcript, which I just received and uploaded
yesterday. It’s well worth reading, and I hope it helps you decide
that you really do want to join in our Video Marketing Challenge.
There are some great tips in this report/audio.

Secure Your WordPress Blogs:

There have been all sorts of reports in the forum of hackers
exploiting WordPress blogs. This will hopefully help you if you’re
living in constant fear, or have had it happen to you.

Earn1KaDay seminar update:

I just finished ordering the CD’s that I’ll be distributing at the
seminar. I ordered some extras for the expected late registrants,
so don’t worry if you didn’t claim your seat yet. I promised
everyone that attends that they would receive “Residual Income
Formula” which is a course in setting up membership sites put out
by Rachel Rofe and Tanner Larsson.

I also decided to add the full Overnight Membership Sites course to
the CD. You do have access to that in the members download area
already, but there were some parts that I never put there. For
example, the mp3′s, and higher quality versions of the videos.
There’s a total of 1.7 gigabytes worth of information in the full
package, and it’s a fantastic course. And so is Rachel and
Tanner’s, of course.

I can’t make any promises but at least one or two of the speakers
have told me they’re putting together some special handouts for
attendees as well. And of course we earlier announced that Tim
Gorman would be making something special.

Not to mention that paid attendees have a chance to win a lifetime
membership to Earn1KaDay or a Flip camcorder. And not to mention
that you have the chance of a lifetime to network and give your
contact information to the likes of Willie Crawford, Ron Davies,
Brian McElroy, Tim Gorman, the Rhodes Brothers, Matt Levenhagen,
and many more.

And not to mention that I’ll be offering anyone and everyone who
will take advantage of it, a free premium domain name from Gene
Pimentel’s inventory, some domains are worth in excess of 1K, and
Gene will be teaching us how to get that kind of money out of them.

With the economy the way it is, you really do want to have as much
of an advantage on your competition as you possibly can, and you
really don’t want to miss this event. I can confidently predict
that you’ll never, ever, see this group of speakers together in the
same room again. And certainly not at this price.

Seats are still available:

Earlier we had a 3-pay option available, which is no longer being
offered because the payments obviously wouldn’t be completed before
the event starts. But … if anyone isn’t coming just because cash
is tight right now, and wants to negotiate a time payment plan,
contact me and maybe we can work something out.

Forum threads of note:

The video marketing challenge is live now. It runs for the entire
month of January, so it’s not too late to start. I don’t care how
many videos you make, it’s up to you, it’s a personal challenge.

Personally I promised myself to make 30 for the month. Others have
promised less, that’s not a problem at all. I think once you see
how easy it is to do, you’ll blow by what you expect to accomplish.

I did one video last year on YouTube (and some for the forum and
elsewhere). I looked yesterday and that one YouTube video, with no
promotion, had over 3000 views for the year. Not a ton, around 10
a day I guess, but if I do 30 this month, and promote them, and do
some of the stuff talked about in the YouTube Domination report
above, then let’s do the math.

10 views a day X 30 videos = 300 views a day.

But those 10 views a day were for a boring video that wasn’t
promoted. If I do some promotion, and do better videos, I think I
can double or triple the daily views, don’t you?

So 30 views a day X 30 videos = 900 views a day.

Can you use an extra 900 visitors a day? Don’t you think your
income would get a nice boost? Even if you only get half a percent
conversion to sales, that would mean 4 or 5 sales a day.

And if you can’t work on it for the whole month, hey, you’re not
alone. I didn’t do any yesterday and probably won’t have time to
do any today. And I’ll be at the seminar for 5 days (a day early
and a day after to make sure I have as much time to network as
possible, maybe with you if you’re there). But I still think I can
average 1 a day for the month, some days I’ll do 3 or 4, they only
need to take a half hour, maybe even less. We’re not talking about
the need to do Super Bowl commercial quality here, after all.

We have a ton of good reports on setting up videos of all kinds in
the download area, including the one I uploaded this week,
including the Steven Resell interview, and much more.

So if you don’t have it already, start your 30 day trial of
Camtasia today, you don’t need to pay a dime, and the software
isn’t crippled at all. Get your videos done, and then don’t pay
for it until you have the income from the videos. In the meantime
you can make dozens of them this month, maybe even hundreds, before
the 30 days is up.

Here’s the thread to check in at to let us know you’re in the
challenge:

And feel free to give frequent updates, including sample videos if
you want to embed the links from YouTube.

John Reese is a genius:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6318

Well, a lot of us knew that, but I started this thread to highlight
his latest marketing endeavor, and to remind us all that you don’t
always need new content to do very well. John’s recycling old
content and is looking at a 2 million dollar payday.

Michael Gunn’s Christmas Present:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6331

This one could have been in the Success Stories section, but it’s a
good reminder how fortunate we are to be Internet marketers. The
possibilities are endless, and the stories of how people can bring
in the cash while they sleep, or in Michael’s case while he was on
vacation without Internet access, are mind blowing.

Many people make New Year’s resolutions. Or set goals or promises
to improve some part of their life or business.

Setting goals/promises doesn’t have to be done just at the start of
a year, of course, but everyone does it then if not more often. So
now might be a good time to post your own public goals in the
Personal Challenges section. I’m working on mine and will probably
post mine soon, but if you want to see a template of a fantastic
one, check out Steve Warwick’s challenge:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6334

Now that’s impressive, specific, detailed, it’s got everything that
I think is necessary to virtually ensure success for him. Let’s
see yours. :-)

##########

That’s just a short review of some of the highlights, there is much
more going on all the time at the forum. Don’t be a stranger
there, that’s where the primary value of your membership is, after
all. We’re not there to chat so much (though there is a lounge
there if you want to unwind), we’re there to learn from each other,
and share with each other, and as you can see from the above sample
threads, there’s a lot of that happening.

Until next week, I wish you the very best in everything.
