Earn1KaDay News For Friday, December 12th

by 5buckguy

Hi, guys and girls, thanks as always for reading my emails. As we
near the end of the year, it’s always a good time to start
preparing for the success that might have eluded us so far, or
improve on what we did have.

So with that in mind, I have some special things to talk about today.

But first, last week I asked if anyone was having any trouble
getting into the forum. There were a handful that said they were,
and we traced it back to a change made to the server earlier in the
week. That change was backed off last Friday, so everyone should
be set now. Let me know if you’ve had any difficulty this week.

Actually, what we backed off was a security fix, and we do want to
implement it back. Steve made some changes to it, so I’ll be
putting it back in place soon, carefully. So, if you do have any
difficulty, let me know right away, since the failure was with a
very small number of members before (less than 1% told me about it).

Here are this week’s new downloads:

Quick Start Job Hunting Guide niche site:
/notloggedin.php

More about this down below. I’m not asking you to hunt for a new
job, so don’t get the wrong idea. :-)

5 Bucks a Day Jr. Resellers Package:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6095

This will enable you to sell 5 Bucks a Day Jr. on your own site,
with your own sales page (or mine, or a modified version of mine),
build your own email list by adding an optin to the page, etc.

The book is brandable so you can have your affiliate link to
Earn1KaDay embedded so that you can not only get paid for selling
the book, but recurring income for any new members. Those who do
purchase the book do convert fairly well, since the book exposes
them to my writing style and philosophy, encourages them to join,
and if they like my style, they do often come over here (as many
current members, maybe yourself, can attest to).

There’s also a shorter version of 5 Bucks a Day Jr. that you can
give away, it also can be branded with your affiliate link, and a
link to the full version that they have to pay you for. You can’t
give away the full book, but you can give away the teaser version.

Since you’re a member, it’s likely that you believe, and have seen,
that the 5 Bucks a Day strategy, and the Earn1KaDay business
models, do work, and can pass on that belief to those you’re
promoting to. I hope you do well with this package, it will help
us both.

In the past, affiliates have promoted 5 Bucks a Day Jr. using the
$7 script, sending traffic to my web page, getting 100%
commissions, and building my list. Now you not only get 100%
commissions, but you build your own list, but more than that you
can give away the teaser version to entice them to make the
purchase, and more than that the report is branded with your
affiliate code.

If you can think of anything else I can do to improve this package,
let me know.

Earn1KaDay seminar update:

Just a heads up, the group rates for seminar attendees expire after
December 17th, so if you’re attending and haven’t made your room
reservations, don’t wait. I think regular rates are around $50 per
night higher than our group rate.

Seats are still available:

I hope you’ll join us in January. I got an email from Tim Gorman
this week about the product he’s putting together for the seminar
attendees, and I really love the concept. Very cool. It may be
something only distributed at the seminar, I’m not sure yet. Part
of it is a physical “thing” which might not even be able to be
distributed with the DVD set. Maybe we can work it out somehow,
but I can’t guarantee it, other than to say that those at the
seminar will certainly receive something unique and special.

OK, here’s my editorial that I promised above. As we reach the end
of the year, we tend to look forward to the new one, and make
resolutions, set goals, all that good stuff.

Some are very pleased with their progress and hope it continues
onward and upward. Some are frustrated and are hoping for their
first break. Regardless of which group you’re in, please stick
with me here.

My goal for 2009 is that every member of Earn1KaDay experiences
their first 1K day. Many already have, but many have not. If you
look at the Success Story threads, you’ll see that there have been
some amazing stories posted there, all very motivating to myself
and others.

And my other goal is to grow the size of the membership during 2009
to larger numbers, that’s why Gregg and Tim are part of the team, I
couldn’t do it all myself without working 24 hour days, and when I
do that, I get very grumpy and intolerable. :-)

This is one reason why I made the 5 Bucks a Day Jr. resellers
package available. That was a difficult decision to make, I’ve
been considering it for many months now, at least 6 months,
probably longer, and it was tough giving up a good part of a fairly
decent income stream that comes from the sales of that product and
the list that gets built with it. I’m giving that to you, and I’m
trusting that the “pay it forward” concept works. I have no doubt
that it will.

Additionally, I’m going to be adding a new category of income
streams to my project lists this year, that of finding and
distributing niche content mini sites. For example, the one above
for the job hunting guide. You can take that PLR package, rework
it, grab a good domain name, and you have a site. There’s a lot
that can be done with that, well above and beyond selling the book.

I’m going to be doing more of that, but many of the niche content
site packages that I pick up might not be added to the members
area. Some will. Some won’t.

For example, I picked up one last week, titled “Go Green, Stay
Green”. I mentioned that in a review thread, and I blasted out an
email to my early notification list for my dime sale customers, and
it sold fabulously. That’s another site that comes with an eBook,
sales page, graphics, and more.

I’ll make sites like this available to you for pennies on the
dollar, and you can build your own VRE (virtual real estate) using
them, or repackage them and flip them. Many of these will just be
sold cheaply enough through the dime sale script.

The reason most of those sites won’t be added to the members area
is that Earn1KaDay isn’t a PLR site, for the most part, it’s an
Internet marketing site, and the focus of information should be on
that. But … if someone finds a niche content site package
available, and doesn’t want to invest in the full price, and alerts
me to it, then there’s a chance I’ll say yes, pick it up, and make
it available to all members.

That’s what happened with the job hunting guide, I was asked
publicly in the forum if I would purchase it, and I did. So what
I’m encouraging is for “scouts” to help me find good packages. Not
just articles, but complete mini sites. And not just any old
niche, but those that are either hot or evergreen.

Places to scout go far and wide beyond the WSO forum, they might
include sites being sold on Sitepoint, Digital Point, or eBay that
come with a unique and quality product.

I mentioned the “Go Green, Save Green” niche content site, that’s
about as evergreen as you can imagine, and it’s a quality package.
If you want to check it out, it’s on sale cheap through the dime
sale script here:
http://www.1kad.com/go-green

The price rises with each sale. It won’t rise enough that you
can’t make money with it, I guarantee that.

Forum threads of note:

Jenn Dize asked for a pep talk earlier in the week here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6050

I think she heard what she needed to hear, but it’s still a topic
that is of general interest for many of us. When do we stop
trading hours for dollars, and start working for ourselves by doing
things that yield recurring income for us, rather than for someone
else?

Check in and post your thoughts.

##########

Michael noticed, did you? We went over 50,000 posts in the forum
this week, that’s a ton of content to be absorbed for someone just
joining now. A ton of good content:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6094

##########

And they just keep on coming (success threads, that is).

Last night, 3 great new threads started. First Carl, then Cori,
then James:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6096
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6098
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6106

James had a 5-figure day, amazing. And I need to emphasize, for
selfish reasons, what he said that was one of the biggest
contributors to making that day:
I took risks early this year by investing upfront to get
myself over there to the US a few times.
In other words he went to seminars, networked, formed
relationships, and after a while the seeds he planted sprouted into
a beautiful garden of opportunities.

This makes me even more excited about the opportunities that are
going to be at the Earn1KaDay seminar. Yes, the expense could be a
little scary. But read James’ thread and see if the risk-reward
ratio might not work in your favor. James is from Australia and he
traveled long distances to attend seminars in the U.S. I seriously
hope those who don’t have to go quite so far realize the
opportunity they have in January.

So yes, James’ huge success is very nice, but I really am equally,
if not more so, thrilled by Carl and Cori’s stories, they’re just
starting their journey. Carl was only a few dollars short of his
first 1K day, close enough to smell it, I know he’ll make it very
soon

And then there’s Cori, who could be the poster child of how making
a determined effort to focus can really have a major impact on
success. I hope she doesn’t mind my saying this, but when she
started, she was so unfocused that I had to settle her down more
than once. And once she did, she figured out what she was good at
instead of chasing all the bright shiny objects, and wow, nice going!

Speaking of success stories, congratulations to Andrew, proud daddy
of another girl:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6043

and Nathan, the newlywed who can’t seem to stay away from the forum
anyway:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6046

##########

This is a long thread, and has been ongoing for a while, but if you
look here:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5266&start=150

and page down to the recent posts, you’ll see that Gene’s giving us
yet another example of how he was able to turn a low priced domain
name into $625 by some clever negotiation and confidence in the value
of what he has.

If you still don’t “get it’, he’ll be speaking at the seminar in
January, and I’m giving you your choice of any available domain in
his inventory. If he can turn a single domain name into $625, and
if you really listen and take notes about how he does it, don’t you
think you can cover your seminar registration fees? I do.

Here’s the thing. Gene expects success with his domaining techniques,
and he is successful. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t expect
success as well.

And one more thing, that was actually part of Carl’s big day as well,
he turned a simple name (from Gene’s inventory) into $450 on
Sitepoint.

##########

That’s just a short review of some of the highlights, there is much
more going on all the time at the forum. Don’t be a stranger
there, that’s where the primary value of your membership is, after
all. We’re not there to chat so much (though there is a lounge
there if you want to unwind), we’re there to learn from each other,
and share with each other, and as you can see from the above sample
threads, there’s a lot of that happening.

Until next week, I wish you the very best in everything.
