Important Earn1KaDay Forum Changes, and Launch News

by 5buckguy

A few things are going on today. First, don’t miss out on the
latest downloads in the members download area, I’ll mention them
more specifically on Friday like always. But there’s already a
couple very good new ones since last Friday, and at least one more
coming soon, as soon as today.

Last week I mentioned that someone joined and started scraping the
site to download everything he could get his hands on. We stopped
him soon enough, but the event made us realize that we need to
protect the site, not just for my sake, but for everyone’s.

Letting someone do what he was doing could bring the site to its
knees and slow down everyone’s access during that period. Also, it
could devalue what we have, some of which hasn’t been widely
distributed, if at all. Letting it get onto the black market
wouldn’t be good.

I set up a poll asking if there were any objections to limiting the
downloads, and about 90% were in favor of the idea, with many
commenting that the limits were a good thing, encouraging more
focus on a few things rather than spending so much time chasing
lots of different ideas.

And to be clear, a limit doesn’t mean you can’t download everything
that we have, it just means that someone can’t download everything
that we have in a very short amount of time, especially using
automated bots to do so.

One idea Steve Warwick recommended was to “throttle” the download
area, in other words make a reasonable daily download limit. He’s
written a script to do that, in fact we implemented it yesterday
with a high count allowed (50 downloads), just to make sure there
weren’t any glitches. There haven’t been.

Our intention was to set the limit to 10 downloads in a 24-hour
period, and over the last 24 hours, nobody has exceeded 6. So
that’s good. To set your mind at further ease, if you do have a
problem, I can always reset your counter if need be. And, in some
cases, some downloads won’t count against your quota, for example
the Super Quick Videos are in a separate folder that isn’t
throttled (since there are 90 of them if you needed to download
them all, though I doubt you would want to).

You shouldn’t notice the throttling, if you’re being reasonable
with the download activity. This isn’t meant to penalize anyone,
the limits are very reasonable, we feel, if it turns out otherwise,
then we’ll adjust them upward if necessary. For now the limit is
set to 10 downloads within a 24 hour period of time. If you reach
the limit and need something desperately before your time period
gets reset, you can let me know.

Steve has also implemented one other thing to defeat scrapers that
you might notice (most people won’t). He’s turned on a captcha
request after several hundred page loads on the forum. I’ll get
that a few times a day, I know a few others that will, but most
people won’t notice. If it becomes a bother to you personally,
send me a PM and if I get enough complaints, we’ll adjust things
accordingly.

These changes should be enough to secure the membership for the
foreseeable future, and should keep access times to the site
speedy, even if we grow much larger in size.

Another reason for today’s email is to mention two launches. Both
are raising their prices after a short period, and I didn’t want
you to miss out on the lower pricing.

I mentioned on Friday about the Clickbank Inner Circle launch, that
happens today. Already. You might have heard about it from others.

If you watched the video last week, it gave you an idea of what
it’s about, but in any case, here’s a short PDF that Chris Freville
gave me to distribute that tells more, and links to the sales page
if you’re interested after reading:
http://www.earn1kaday.net/cbic.pdf

You’ve probably read my report about Forum Friends, if not, it’s in
the download area. I call my “inner circle” forum friends, and he
calls his an “inner circle”. Same thing, to an extent.

In my report, I encouraged IM’ers to establish a network of
friends, and to develop the skill of writing (emails, posts,
threads, reports, eBooks, sales copy, etc.), and eventually your
friends can help you launch your products. So my strategy was to
build a base.

Chris’ strategy starts after the base is built, and sort of assumes
you already have it in you to make a product. His “inner circle”
concept will then help you find launch partners, they’ll help you,
you’ll help them (usually you’ll have to help them first to get
their attention).

I think my report and his eBook are pretty complementary, they
don’t really compete with each other. He gave me a review copy of
Clickbank Inner Circle, and I thought it was very good. You might
as well, if you have any intention to launch a product, service, or
membership site in the future, and would like to increase your
success many times over by getting JV partners.

Even prior to that, learning the skills to be a successful
affiliate, or even a “super affiliate” in order to get the
attention of others, is like money in the bank. Check out Chris’
sales page here:

He says he’s raising the price in 3 days, so today would be a good
day to check it out if you’re so inclined. There are some things
in there that would appeal to those that are thinking of launching
their own products in the future. Never too early to plan ahead,
after all.

As I’ve said many times, developing what I call “forum friends”,
which is along the same order as what he calls his “inner circle”
is what propelled my IM success, such that it is. So obviously I
believe in this strategy. Chris has written about it in much more
depth than I did, there’s some good information inside.

==========

This next launch surprised me yesterday. I highly recommended Matt
Levenhagen’s new product, “Niche Authority” when it put was inside
John Rogers’ firesale a couple weeks ago. I hope you picked it up
then.

If not, you have one last chance before the price goes up
drastically. Matt’s launching it on his own this week at a
prelaunch price:

If you already got this as part of the firesale, you know he’s
added some serious bonuses since the original report, and I
understand there will be much more of that.

Matt’s been a mentor and a friend of mine for years. I’ve seen
what he’s done over time. He has never disappointed anyone that
I’m aware of. I’d recommend buying it at $67 if you don’t own it
already. Seriously, I doubt you’ll be disappointed in the slightest.

I reviewed the product in depth at the Earn1KaDay forum originally,
I remember my post started with “Wow” and “Holy Crap”, and went
from there, so enough said about my feelings about the product.
You can read my review on Matt’s sales page, actually, if you’re
interested.

Talk to you again in a couple days, until then, all the best to you
and yours.
