For those of you in the U.S., Happy Thanksgiving (in advance, of
course). I will be here to send my email next Friday, the day
after. Just when I’m starting to get down to my weight of about 25
years ago, I have a feeling I’ll have a bounce up next Thursday.
But I’m not complaining. 
I have a lot to be thankful for this year, not the least of all has
been the tremendous support and community atmosphere from the
Earn1KaDay members like yourself. This year has been a lot of fun,

Last week I mentioned I was struggling with this forum hack, I
wanted to get it done before last Friday’s email, but didn’t get it
working until later. It’s working now just fine, and several
members are reporting that people are taking advantage of it to
show appreciation for various things.
To implement your ability to receive “beer” (or wine or flowers or
coffee or whatever you want), just update your profile with your
PayPal address, and then people can send you a few bucks here and
there if they like something you’ve done for them. Can’t hurt,
after all, can it?

I posted a review of Brian McElroy’s latest product. I’ve
mentioned Brian’s stuff before. Some people are great writers.
Some people make great products. When someone can do both, their
product quality goes off the charts, and in my opinion, Brian does
both, so I have no problem recommending much of what he does.
Brian’s providing a free report sharing his opinion of the 10 myths
of Internet marketing that other gurus have perpetuated on us for
years. This should be “must reading” for anyone that has ever, or
every considered, producing your own product.
And if you haven’t considered it, after you read this, you just
might change your mind. Producing your own product isn’t all that
tough, as I’ve been nagging people about forever. Just do it.
This report will convince you in ways I couldn’t put into writing
myself.

Nathan Briggs has been working on this for us for a while now, and
seems to have finished up a bunch of new features this week.
Article marketers can use this very profitably. The idea came from
a Tim Gorman post about how he figures out great headlines. Nathan
automated the process.

Wil Mattos has produced a video showing how to backup all your site
data. Another video is coming soon. If you have any sites, this
is very important information. Don’t rely on your host to back up
your sites. I found that out the hard a way a few years ago when
one of my servers got hacked, and my host had to restore a backup
that was about 3 weeks old. Not a lot of fun trying to remember
everything I had done from that point on.
And my other mistake was that I was self hosting an autoresponder
script on the server, so all the email signups for that period of
time were gone, and everyone old got sent out all the messages
again that they had received for that 3 week period. Many
unsubscribed as a result. Since then I vowed to use Aweber for an
autoresponder, rather than go the cheap way and pay for it.
