Earn1KaDay News For Friday, October 17th

by 5buckguy

Hello again from northern New Jersey, where it’s starting to feel
like autumn weather, especially in the mornings, though the leaves
have barely started to fall, later than normal I think. Still, we
can count on the cycle, just like I mentioned in last week’s email
about the stock market which did bounce back up, then down, then
up, what a wild and crazy ride.

Is anyone keeping track of how much Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, or
the Sam Walton heirs are losing daily on the bad days, or making on
the good days? Do you think they care? It’s not cash in their
pockets anyway, it’s all on paper.

Just like projects on your 5 bucks a day project list, right?
There’s money in those lists, remember, but you have to do
something. You can’t just set a weekly project to write 15
articles and submit them. You actually have to write them and
submit them. And then, as sure as the leaves on the trees will fall,
they’ll produce some income for you eventually. Maybe not at a
predictable time, but if you write enough articles, you’ll get
enough traffic, and you’ll make some income out of it.

Wouldn’t it be nice though, if you could speed up that process?
You can’t speed up the leaves falling without climbing up and
tearing them off the limbs, but we Internet marketers can speed up
the traffic coming to our sites in many ways, one of which I want
to share with you today. But first:

Here are this week’s new downloads:

New Super Quick Videos added:

Videos # 61 – 70 were added today. If you haven’t checked these
out, please do so, there are some good ones. Nobody will need to
watch all of them, but I’ll bet there are a few you could learn from.

SEO Education 101:

and speaking of videos, here are 27 more. Unless you’re already an
SEO expert, these basic videos will help you immensely, I’ll bet.

Special offer of the week:

I mentioned up above about traffic. I’ve written often that “if
you build it they will come” was only a movie. A darn good one, I
thought, but only a movie, and it never applied to my web sites,
and probably not to yours either.

So regardless of how nice our sites or blogs happen to be, and how
much fabulous life changing information is on there, we have to do
things to get the traffic coming.

One way, of course, is with Pay Per Click. I’ve made a good living
paying for clicks, and so have a lot of other people. I do realize
that not everyone has the budget to risk that up front money, and
even if you do, it’s still preferable to pay less, or not at all
for your traffic.

That’s why article marketing, and Web 2.0 marketing (like building
Squidoo lenses, or hub pages) is so powerful. Yes, you’re trading
time (the time spent building those pages) for traffic instead of
trading money for traffic.

Even better would be if you could get other people to send traffic
to your pages, right? Well, that’s what a new site put together by
the Rhodes Brothers can do for you. It’s called Traffic Drill, and
Matt Rhodes has put together a special offer for Earn1KaDay
members. You can read about it here:
http://www.5bucksaday.com/trafficdrill.php

Basically it’s a site full of people willing to help send traffic
to your site, by bookmarking, digging, promoting, however is
relevant for your situation, if you do it for them. You scratch my
back, I’ll scratch yours kind of thing.

And to prevent abuse by those that just ask for help but don’t give
it, Matt and John have set up a cool “karma” system, where you can
give good karma points to someone who’s helped you. So
theoretically the more karma someone has, the more you can trust
that if you help him or her now, they’ll help you in the future
when you need it.

It’s a great concept. It is a monthly membership to belong, but
there are quite a few people there already that are committed to
helping drive traffic to each other’s sites, so I think you should
give it a look.

Of course you can also use our Earn1KaDay threads in the Social
Marketing section to do essentially the same thing:
http://www.earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=41

Each has their advantages. Our section is free to members, but
over at Traffic Drill there are more people looking to help and be
helped, so it’s a captive audience. The people there are there for
one thing only. And that’s to trade traffic.

Forum threads of note:

I’ve spent most of my week working on the Earn1KaDay seminar. It’s
really shaping up to be an exciting event. Most of the speakers
we’ve been after have confirmed, and I can tell you, it’s going to
be an absolutely head spinning event. You’re going to walk out of
there ready to turn 2009 into your best year ever. If you haven’t
made your first 1K day by then, there should be no excuse if you
take action on the information given there, as well as the
networking opportunities.

Among other things, Tim Gorman is going to be sharing a product of
his that he guarantees will be ready for distribution to attendees
at that event, that will be hush hush. He doesn’t want word to leak
out about what it will do in advance, so that certain people won’t
be able to minimize the effectiveness. Plans are that attendees
will receive that product, and will be shown how to use it, before
anyone else in the world.

And that’s not all the reason to attend, by any stretch of the
imagination. There are threads in the forum about the seminar, an
old one here:
http://www.earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3998

and a newer one here:
http://www.earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5348

In the newer thread is a link to sign up for our email list, I’ll
use that list to keep you updated as important information becomes
available concerning the seminar. If you have interest in
attending, you need to be on that list. It will also give us an
idea about how many people to expect (you’re not guaranteeing that
you’ll be there, but you’re indicating interest). I figure for
every 2 or 3 people on the list, we’ll get one attendee, so it
should be an indication as to whether I need to market the event
outside the Earn1KaDay forum. Maybe I won’t have to, that would be
nice.

There are only 100 seats available, by the way, so hopefully it
will be a full house, and the lucky people to get there will be
blown away by what happens there. I’m very confident of that fact.

I’m not taking reservations yet, but probably by next week, there
will be a page available to buy your seat from, first come, first
served, and the ones who buy earliest will get the best price.
That’s just one reason why you should be on the email list above,
I’ll notify you first about the early bird pricing opportunity.

##########

Hendra started an interesting thread about registering your name as
a domain. Have you thought of that? If not, and it isn’t too
late, you might want to consider it (too late for me, unfortunately):

##########

Dave Gammage started a thread “Case Study for Laziness” that’s food
for thought, more proof that article marketing does work, no matter
how little effort goes into it, if you get enough of them out there:
http://www.earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5362

##########

Another cool success story, Sean is doing well with MMS’s and more:
http://www.earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5322

I mentioned Gene Pimentel’s special offer last week, that thread is
on fire. Gene’s certainly over delivering in a big way. He’s
almost filled up the slots that will get advantage of some special
bonuses and the discount member pricing, so if you were on the
fence, this might be your last chance today to join:
http://www.earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5266

Why am I mentioning this? No, I don’t get anything out of it, but
I know a lot of our members have played around with domaining, and
it’s sad to see people work so hard to find great domain names, and
then list them on eBay or wherever, and end up having to sell them
for less than they paid NameCheap or GoDaddy for them. There’s no
such risk with Gene’s program. No, you won’t be able to reserve a
name of his to run an eBay auction, but you can have a huge
inventory to sell from in other ways. Or to use.

For example, I found what I thought was a great name in his
inventory, and so I bought it for myself. I’ve had a boatload of
quick cash generating ideas that I bought months ago with resell
rights. I just hadn’t had the time to do anything, and I noticed
this name in Gene’s list: QuickCashSecrets.com

Now it’s mine, and it’s perfect for what I want to do. It will
probably become part of Earn1KaDay, and be used elsewhere as well.
Very cool, I thought.

So the reason I’m mentioning this a 2nd time is that I think it’s a
good opportunity for someone that wants to make money domaining, to
do so, without having to find and invest in your own domain name
inventory. Gene works hard at this. Personally I don’t want to
work hard at that, I have other things to do. ‘Nuff said.

That’s just a short review of some of the highlights, there is much
more going on all the time at the forum. Don’t be a stranger
there, that’s where the primary value of your membership is, after
all. We’re not there to chat so much (though there is a lounge
there if you want to unwind), we’re there to learn from each other,
and share with each other, and as you can see from the above sample
threads, there’s a lot of that happening.

Until next week, I wish you the very best in everything.
