I haven’t had a lot of time to spend over at the Warrior Forum this
week looking for new products with resell rights. I’ll remind you
again, if you do see something there that looks promising, and
comes with rights that allows it to be added to a paid membership
site, the best way to get me to consider it is to post a thread in
the WSO reviews section of the forum, and mention that you saw it,
give a link to the thread, and ask if anyone else is interested in
having me pick it up. If it gets enough votes, and it makes sense,
and we don’t have something similar already, chances are you could
see it pop up in the members area.
But don’t lose focus by spending too much time over in WSO land,
there are 750 other members that might notice something if you don’t.

What’s been taking a good part of my time this week is negotiating
some of the special offers I have for you this week (below), but
also working on configuring a new server that will be the home soon
of Earn1KaDay. I’m learning some things about servers, and have
had some pauses while waiting for support to configure things just
right for me, but I’m getting there. Hopefully it will lessen the
downtime that we’ve experienced in the past.
Not that overall, my current server has been horrible, it’s just
frustrating sometimes. It’s always nice to have 100% uptime, but
sometimes things get in the way of that. So I’ll see if the grass
is greener on the other side of the fence, as they say, hopefully
it won’t be browner.

I’ve also been spending time working on the arrangements for the
Earn1KaDay seminar, officially named by Gregg the “Earn 1K a Day
IM Summit”. Unfortunately, due to earlier hotel bookings than ours,
the room that we were originally looking at that would hold more
people is gone, and we moved to a different hotel in the area, with
a maximum seating capacity of only 100 people.

So, it looks like, with the speakers we’ve got lined up already,
this could be a very hot ticket. Already committed is Willie
Crawford, the Rhodes Brothers, Brian McElroy, Matt Levenhagen,
Steven Resell, and myself if necessary. There are other speakers
we’re hoping can be there, including our own Tim Gorman, plus
others, including some of our members that might fill shorter time
slots with some of their ideas, tips, and techniques. I’m also
hoping for at least one more surprise speaker from outside the
membership.
And if we all bug him enough, we might even be able to get Gregg to
give a speech, which he’s resisting at the moment. 
I’m hoping the membership can fill up the 100 seats, but if not I’ll
go outside to pack the house. The dates are Saturday and Sunday,
January 17-18, 2009. If there’s sufficient interest, I’m going to
book a room on the 18th floor of the hotel overlooking the Disney
complex for a meet and greet reception on Friday the 16th.
We do plan on taping the sessions, and selling DVD’s for those who
can’t make it, but the beauty of any conference will be in the
ability to network with others, and this could be one way to get
next year off to a flying start.
Once everything’s confirmed with the hotel, we’ll be finalizing the
pricing and taking payments on a first come, first served basis, and
probably offering a 3-payment plan for those that need it. So stay
tuned, and don’t make any other plans for those dates.

Success story of the week (not from the forum):

But listening to the review copy of his interview, it struck home
that you’re never too old to do the things that will cause you to
reach huge success, regardless of the hard knocks life has hit you
with. This is a very informative and motivating product, and could
be almost as big an influence to your life and career as “Think and
Grow Rich”.

Last week I mentioned that Content Website Builder was going to
include an extra feature, the ability to link articles into the
pages. That change is done already, and as well, Ali has added a
feature to link to a Google XML sitemap, in addition to the HTML
sitemap that was in the original version, to make the sites even
more SEO friendly.

Another income model we follow at Earn1KaDay is membership sites.
By that I mean we show people how to set them up, give them the
necessary software, and help them figure out how to fill up the
sites with content in several different ways. Some people are
doing very well with membership sites, in virtually any niche you
can think of.
Here’s the numbers. If you can get people to join your site at
$9.95 a month, or $19.95 a month, or more, take your calculator and
see how much monthly income you’ll have if you have 50, 100, 250,
500, or 1000 members. Is it worth the effort?
My personal answer to that is … yes, it’s worth it. I have
membership sites in the Internet marketing niche, but that’s a
tough niche to break into, there are easier ones to start with. Or
easier ways to do it.
If you aren’t interested in doing all the work to build your own
membership site, however, there are ways to avoid even that. For
example, my friends Matt and John Rhodes have just started a site
about Weight Loss (do you think you could find some people
interested in losing weight?). The content isn’t totally about
specific diet methods, which come and go, but about mindset. In
other words, teaching people how to change their way of thinking
about what they eat, and about the other factors that go into being
fit. The name of the site is ProHealthMind.
You could virtually own your own membership site today, with this
deal. Matt and John have a limited number of reseller
opportunities available, you collect the payments, they provide the
content to your members. You don’t have to do anything other than
send traffic to a specially encoded link, the rest is done for you.
