I know, I know, I’m supposed to be enjoying my vacation and not
thinking about anything else. The thing is, I am enjoying my
vacation, and the part of my life that I enjoy most is being able
to do what I do with Earn1KaDay, so if I had to withdraw
completely, I’d go nuts.
So the least I can do is send out a short email with the latest
downloads, for those that didn’t check in already and notice them:

So far there are 5 components, including a couple niche sites, a
batch of images, and a couple IM related items. He calls it “never
ending” because he plans on continuing to bump the WSO, and for
every 20 sales he’ll add another item. So, as he does so, at least
for the things he adds that are of general interest, I’ll add them
as well.

This shows how to create membership sites using WordPress and
plugins. I haven’t watched the videos yet, so it would be nice to
see some reviews in the thread. Part of the sales pitch was that
he provided the videos in all formats (avi, wmv, and flv), I’ve
only uploaded the flv (flash) ones, if anyone needs either of the
other formats, let me know. They’re huge, especially the avi
format (over 300 MB, if I remember right), so if not necessary I’d
prefer to save the bandwidth.

This will enable you to put one of those annoying scripts on your
site, where if the visitor tries to leave, a fake “sales agent”
tries to change their mind with a conversation that you can define
(discount, whatever). I hate these, but I’m told they work
sometimes spectacularly well to save sales, so if you want to test
it, here’s your chance.

If you see something of general interest, which includes resell
rights and the ability to add to a paid membership site, let me
know by posting to that thread, or start a new one in that section.
I do try to watch the WSO boards (just not this week), but
sometimes miss some good ones. Feel free to suggest something
you’re interested in, if enough other members agree with your
suggestion, chances are that I’ll pick it up.
Many of you noticed a problem with the forum earlier this week. My
server had a time of day problem where it was set as 8 hours into
the future. I had that corrected, and several hours later it
happened again. When they fixed it the 2nd time, they set it to
the wrong time, in other words instead of 7 p.m., it was showing 7
a.m. That caused the forum threads to get all out of sync, and for
a while some members couldn’t post or send PM’s, which I was able
to work around with a hack to the phpBB code.
Hopefully that won’t happen again, my web host didn’t tell me what
the problem was, or if they did anything other than just change the
clock, so I don’t know if the root cause has been fixed. I
apologize for any inconvenience. It’s making me think about
changing hosts, after I get off vacation, I’ll explore some
alternatives.
That’s it for this week, I told you this email would be short. I’m
driving home tomorrow (Saturday), and on Monday it will be back to
the office like normal. Vacations are nice, but when you’re doing
something you love, like I am, the rest of the year is pretty nice
as well. If you’re not living that dream yet, keep at it, you’ll
get there, I’m certain.
