This is going to be an awesome weekend, a 3 day holiday for those
of us in the U.S. (Memorial Day to honor those who died or were
injured in service to our country). I’ll be working half a day
tomorrow in the office as usual, but having Monday off and a
fabulous weather forecast, along with a new barbecue grill to try
out, has me all excited.
But don’t worry, I’ll be around the forum, I don’t want to be
accused of slacking.

I’m hoping this is just the first of a long string of interviews
with successful Internet marketers. Yes, there have been others,
but until now they’ve been done on an irregular basis. Now I hope
to be able to find and convince more of the best and the brightest
to share their secrets with us.
I figured the first one had to have a real “wow” factor, and this
80+ minute interview won’t disappoint you. Read the post I made in

Now some of the forum happenings… I posted a thread with an idea
about producing or finding a product with resell rights that will
be what I term an “article blender”. You can read the current
discussion here, and let me know if you or someone you know is
capable of providing what I’m looking for (so far my attempts to
get reasonable resell rights licenses have been rebuffed):

It’s in your best interest to help me get this done, one way or
another, unless people tell me the product makes no sense, it will
be done and made available to members. Right now the best product
I’ve found is selling on a WSO for $47, and after that a regular
retail price of $97. I’d like to think I can provide features to
rival that one. And yes, I did ask the author about resell rights,
we had a lengthy negotiation, and it went nowhere.
When I started the 5bucksaday.com forum, I set up a section titled
“Mastermind Groups” which I had high hopes for. I hoped that
groups of a half dozen or so members in a local area or in a tight
area of interest would get together and help each other out, such
as was described by Napoleon Hill in “Think and Grow Rich”. But
for some reason that section of the forum got little activity, so
when I started earn1kaday.com I didn’t put that section in this
forum.
Recently I’ve been involved in a mastermind group, and the results
have been absolutely amazing, I can’t begin to describe it. So, I
did set up the Mastermind Group section for earn1kaday recently,
and I hope and encourage that you guys and girls take advantage of
it. I don’t expect the discussions to take place there, but just
use that section to suggest a group that you’d like to form or
belong to, and hopefully you can match up with other individuals.

Did you know that aWeber is increasing it’s prices? Big time
increases actually. Current customers are grandfathered in at the
old rates, but they’re offering some great new features if you want
to upgrade. I haven’t upgraded yet, has anyone? If so, please
start a thread with your thoughts in the Email Marketing section.
I’d be interested to see what you think.
I saw Willie Crawford say that if he upgrades just one of his
lists, he’ll be paying around $2000 a month or something. The
thing is, if someone has a very large list, they should be doing
very well with it, and aWeber wants their piece of the pie. I can
understand that, but still, this is a huge increase, and that’s a
very large piece of pie. Share your thoughts at the forum.
OK, I resisted mentioning this again, but I have to. Hopefully it
won’t annoy any of our many new members, but it will give some
insight into what they can look forward to.
On April 25th, I sent out my weekly email with the subject line “An
Important Must Read Message from Earn1KaDay.com”. I wasn’t
fooling. In that email I announced that I was revamping the site,
moving a bunch of downloads to a retired archives section, that I
would start drip feeding those to new members as of that date
(April 25th), telling current members where the retired archives
section was, and most importantly announcing that all members as of
that date would be considered and grandfathered in as “Veteran
Members”.
All you had to do, if you were a member before April 25th, was sign
up to an special email list, and you would get some premium stuff
from that point on, every 2 to 6 weeks.
And new members from that point on would become veteran members
after they had belonged for 4 months. So this would be a way I
could reward loyalty and long term members, and occasionally offer
a discount membership deal without feeling bad about those paying
higher, because those paying higher rates would most likely be
getting much more as veterans, or at least be closer in time to
earning those benefits.
The thing is, as of April 25th there were around 500 members. Of
those, only 161 took the trouble to sign up onto the veterans email
list. Those that didn’t sign up missed out on a great premium
report that was available right away, and they missed out on
another one that I added to the veterans autoresponder series just
this week.
So, if you think you qualify by virtue of joining on or before
April 25th, dig out that April 25th email and (please) read it. If
you think you trashed it without reading it or without doing what I
asked, and I’ve suddenly convinced you to take action, let me know
and I’ll send you another copy. But please give me some time to
respond, there might be another 300 people that are also requesting
that as well. Ugh. It’s certainly frustrating to be willing to
give so much and have such a high percentage not take advantage.
And for newer members, don’t feel left out, your time will come.
My twisted mind likes to come up with ways to not only (I hope)
overdeliver to all, but to seriously overdeliver to those who’ve
been here long enough to earn the veteran member status. I want
you to stay a member. I want you to get up to that $1000/day
level. I want to help get you there. Really.
