What a week this was. On top of losing all the time last week
helping the author fix the dime sale script, and then with the site
going down Monday night and out of service for about 26 hours due
to a problem my web host had with our MySQL database, now my wife
is sick with a horrible cold. Yes, the stress has been unreal. But
things have a way of getting better, and as soon as my wife is on
her feet, everything will be back to normal.
Before anything else, here’s the list of the new downloads for this
week:
Easy Download Page Protector:
/notloggedin.php
You work hard to create products, and then people think they have a
right to get them for free by finding links to your download page
on the file sharing sites. This script goes a long way to
protecting your product. Nothing is 100%, but this makes it more
difficult for the amateurs to find your pages.
Add eBay listings to your Wikidot pages:
http://earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3092
I had shown how to use an iframe command to embed eBay listings on
my pages with Wikidot earlier. I have a stand alone page that I
pass a few parameters to and it shows on the wiki. I was asked to
share my technique, so I went ahead and built a simple page to do
this that you can use. All you’ll have to do is change the
tracking information to put your own affiliate code in, and then
upload it to your server.
This particular version uses the eBay editor kit to display the
auctions, which everyone has access to. If you use RSS:os, or
AS:e, you should be able to easily modify this one to fit.
InfoUSA Call About Email Marketing:
http://earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3073
As you should know by now, unless you just joined the forum, we’ve
been discussing a group venture to experiment with bulk emails.
There was a conference call last Friday, and Ian Sneddon was kind
enough to convert the call to mp3 for the benefit of those who
weren’t able to get on the call.
The whole thread is in the Email Marketing forum under Business
Models. Recent discussion is pointing out the difficulty in making
a profit with this type of venture, so it isn’t just a matter of
spending money and getting more money back, it’s becoming clear.
Still, I’m willing to risk a small amount to experiment, and the
project is still going forward for those that are willing.
The biggest news this week for many of us concerns eBay. They’re
leaving Commission Junction and starting their own affiliate
tracking program. There’s no news yet about what needs to be done
to convert all those MMS pages over to the new tracking, we can’t
even join the new network until April 1st, and the conversion needs
to be done before May 1, so some of us will be very busy doing that
next month.
I’m hoping we’ll get lucky and eBay will make the conversion
virtually seamless, but I think I’d better clear my schedule, as I
have thousands and thousands of pages to work on if the worst
occurs. Many of my pages use the eBay editor kit, many use AS:e
(those should probably be as easy as installing a new release of
the software, thank goodness), and my more recent sites use the RSS
feed. I’m hoping for the best.
Now that the dust has cleared and my mind is fresher than it was
last week, I want to mention again about the Instant Dime Sale
Creator (IDSC) product. I don’t know if I described it well enough
last week. The bottom line is I’m personally expecting to get a
lot of use out of this product.
What it can do is more than meets the eye. First it makes it easy
to set up sales pages with PayPal payment buttons. I no longer
have to go into my account and go through the generation of the
payment button, because IDSC does that for me.
It allows me to have dime sales, of course, incrementing the price
after every sale up to a maximum. Or I can let it stay a fixed
price by having the increment be .00.
It protects my download page automatically. Non-customers will not
be able to get your product even if they know the address of your
thankyou page.
It automatically sends an email with an individualized download
link after payment, something that isn’t all that easy to
accomplish with a plain old PayPal payment button.
It makes it extremely simple to add an OTO to your download page,
with an automatically generated “no thanks” button for those that
don’t want to take advantage. More easy sales for you.
It allows you to have your own affiliate program, paying whatever
commission you want on your product, and/or on your OTO. It also
makes it easy to pay affiliates using the PayPal mass pay feature.
It gives you statistics on visits and sales overall, and a list of
your top performing affiliates.
You can set up as many campaigns as you want from a single install
of the script, rather than have to install it separately each time.
And I’m sure I’m forgetting some other features, but those should
give you an idea of the power of this script.
For members, I’m offering the full release of version 3 of IDSC for
$10.00, which is well below what the author is selling it for, here:
http://www.1kad.com/dimesale1kad.php
Those who purchase will be able to join my affiliate program and
send traffic to the public version of the sales page, and earn 60%
commissions on those sales, but as well I’m going to begin loading
up many of the better products that I own (including many that are
in the members download area), and you’ll be able to be affiliates
for those products as well. Many will have OTO’s attached. That
could provide extra income for you for the products for which I’m
not permitted to pass resell rights.
I’m obviously excited about this product and the opportunities it
presents to me, as well as to those who want to join me in using
it. I hope you see the benefits.
But remember, even if you don’t want to spend the 10 bucks for all
that power, there’s a link in the members area to get the earlier
release of IDSC just for being a member. It doesn’t have all the
features that I mentioned above, but it does let you set up dime
sales easily.

But what I’m willing to do is this. If you take my advice and
purchase version 3 here:
http://www.1kad.com/dimesale1kad.php
and you don’t agree that it’s as exciting as I say it is, and you
don’t think you’ll get much more value out of it than the price,
just let me know anytime and I’ll refund your purchase price.
Normally I don’t even like asking members to pay for anything other
than their monthly subscription, but the author didn’t want me to
devalue this script by giving it away, so I set this price as low
as I felt I could, I hope it’s not a deterrent to your taking
advantage of what it has to offer.
So, with that, I have to get back to work, and as always I wish you
all the best.
