You know what, February’s here already. I usually hate February,
since I hate the cold weather (I guess if you’re down under you
hate August instead), but the thing it has going for it is it’s
short. Not this year, ugh, 29 days to go through until March and
spring. Oh well, lots to do inside anyway.

Quite a few got it, the author told me he was very busy over the
weekend fielding support questions, I guess. He might be changing
his mind about this special deal for us, so you really ought to
scoop it up.
Today’s the last day of the MMS Challenge. The people going
through it seem to be having a lot of fun. Some profits have been
reported, some who were a little timid about the process before
have reported that they’ve learned a whole lot, I suggest you go
read through some of the threads in the Personal Challenge part of
the forum and see what’s been going on.
Most of the participants are on track to build 10 or more sites
this week, and Gary Nave looks like he’ll reach his goal of, hang
on here, 100!
And just because you missed this organized challenge doesn’t mean
you can’t decide to do your own next week or sometime else. It is
a personal challenge after all, not an organized event like the
Super Bowl or World Cup. You can set a goal for yourself, post it
online so that we can all encourage you and help you, and get going
any old time you want. So why not schedule something? Kick some
cobwebs off the noggin and improve your income by challenging
yourself to get to the next level. Don’t be shy.
I’m not promoting anything special this week, but I do have a good
case study to share. I’ve mentioned wikidot.com a few times, and
I’m having a ball experimenting with it. And I mentioned that
Travis Sago sold a bunch of copies of 5 Bucks a Day a few weeks ago
with a promotion that surprised the heck out of me.
I’ve been able to get some search phrases ranked on Google pretty
quickly lately (some have actually gone back down the last couple
days, but I’m hoping they go back up after things are shuffled),
but I figured I’d try an ultimate experiment. And pay Travis back
a little for promoting my book without asking.
I had no interest in Frank Kern’s Mass Control, probably a great
course, but I don’t have the time or energy, too much else going
on. I did notice Travis promoting it hard, though, so I asked him
if he minded if I put up a little page on my wiki about Mass
Control with his affiliate link. Nothing big, I told him I’ve been
having good luck getting things indexed and ranked. So sure, why
not, Travis said.
So 2 days ago I added this page to my wiki:

and this morning it’s ranked #2 on Google for mass control site and
#3 for frank kern mass control. Look quick, not sure how long it
will stay there, but considering this is launch day for the course,
I probably annoyed a few of the people that are giving up
everything they own to convince you to buy through their link.
Oh, want another example? I started another wiki the other day, 2
or 3 days ago. You’d think the phrase hostgator web hosting would
be pretty competitive, right? Actually there’s 1,840,000 results.

Yep, that’s my page. 
Again, those rankings might not stay long, and when they go away
they may or not come back, but still, it’s pretty cool to look at.
Thought I was kidding about wikidot, didn’t you? Or did you
scoop up some good names without telling anyone? Now’s a good time
if you have nothing else to do.
So it’s time for a poll. Best to respond in a thread on the forum,
it will get a good conversation going.
If I wrote up a report with a video on how to do the above, showing
exactly how to set up a wiki site to grab top rankings quickly, do
you think you’d be interested? I’d probably sell it as a WSO for
$17, probably less on 1KaD (maybe a giveaway to members, but
pretend you’d have to pay $17, would you?).
