Earn1KaDay Updates and Forum Changes

by 5buckguy

I’m going to keep this email short, because I’m far behind on a few
things, but there are some things you need to be aware of this week.

First, grab this week’s new download, just one thing, but there are
others not ready to release yet that will be coming:

Killer Backlink Strategies:
/notloggedin.php

Rich Rojas organized the first MMS challenge of 2008, it’s been a
while since the last one, and a lot of great information and tools
(like Gary Nave’s interview and threads, and Rich’s recent RLPG
software) since the last one, so it’s a good time to start making
some money. Here’s the thread, be sure to sign up, no commitment
except a personal one to yourself, it starts on the 28th:

Also, I added a couple new sections to the forum this week. The
first one is a work in progress, it’s the Top Forum Threads section:
http://earn1kaday.com/members/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=37

It’s going to end up being the top 50 or fewer threads of all time
(Earn1KaDay time, that is), and will be what I recommend new
members read first before trying to go through all the 19,000+
posts. Right now there are only 9 threads that have been moved
there (catch up on them if you missed any), and I need help finding
more of the really good ones that qualify. If you find a thread
that really impressed you, and you’d like to nominate it for being
moved to the Top Forum Threads section, please post here with a
link to the thread you want considered:

Also, I’ve noticed a lot of interest in offline marketing lately
due to some buzz over at the Warrior Forum. Actually I’ve always
thought that had huge potential, and in fact the initial bonus that
came with 5 Bucks a Day, and the initial download in both the
5bucksaday.com and earn1kaday.com forums was George Wright’s Thin
Air report about how he markets to brick and mortar businesses,
selling them on his local web directory service. If you haven’t
read that yet, here’s where you can find it:

Whether you simply sell directory listings cheap, or expand that
into a full fledged web site building business is up to you, there
is a gaping hole in most communities for knowledgeable Internet
marketers to help offline businesses market on the Internet. And
big bucks can be charged for your services, with the prices being
well deserved.

I suspect that most of you have the required skills already,
whether you know it or not. The ability to set up simple web pages
(even with wikidot.com which I recommended before), and even help
customers set up email lists and autoresponder sequences, will give
you a good start to talk to people who are in awe of how someone
can send an email and get back responses.

I remember when I had my store, when I needed to generate business,
I had a list of about 800 to 1000 customers, and I would print off
sticky labels, get a bunch of flyers printed, and mail them out.
It would cost close to a dollar for each piece including postage
and printing, but it would always bring in a rush of customers.
That was before the Internet, now you can help your local
businesses do that for free. Charging a one time fee of maybe $500
to $1000 to set them up and teach them how to do email marketing
would be a bargain in their eyes.

Anyway, I set up a new forum here to discuss offline marketing:

Feel free, as in any other section, to ask questions, give advice,
point to available resources, etc. If you need anything else to
get you interested, here’s a recent success story from Steve
(clickbuild) about his recent 1K day:

That’s it for today. As always, I wish you nothing but the best.

Dennis, the 5 Bucks a Day Guy.
