Thanks for reading my first email newsletter of 2008. Brand new
year, brand new possibilities, full of excitement so far which I’ll
share with you below, but first …
Just one new download this week, but it’s a very good one:

Now, a few reasons why I’m excited about the upcoming months …
If you read my last 2 emails you know that I had a problem with
AdSense, and it did knock me out of commission for a few days
because I had to convert several thousand pages to Yahoo ads
instead, thank goodness just about all the pages had the adblocks
in include pages, so I only had to make one change per site, but
still it was a lot of sites.
Obviously I didn’t want that to happen, but sometimes the best
opportunities come disguised as problems. Without that push
(thanks, Google), I might not have noticed a product that will
probably double, triple, quadruple my earnings from ads on my
websites, on the sites that I choose to run ads on.
The product is Ad Box Pro and I’ve done a review and demonstration
here:
http://www.5bucksaday.com/adboxpro-review.html
I have to admit I earned a lot of money from AdSense over the
years, but on a per click basis, I guess you’d say I just did OK.
I gave up my visitors in exchange for a dime or so each on average.
With AdBoxPro I can get a lot more, and I can target my ads to my
visitors much better than any contextual algorithm can ever think
of. It does take a bit (but not a lot) more work to set up in the
beginning, but it’s well worth the trouble, trading AdCents for
AdDollars, so to speak. Check it out:

The author did tell me he’s raising the price to $47, but for now
the price remains at $27 so you shouldn’t delay too long.
The next excitement for 2008 for me came from finding, on New
Year’s Day, the answer to my wiki prayers. If you read my emails a
couple months ago, I was looking for a solution to a wiki problem I
was having. I never found the solution back then, but all of a
sudden I found Wikidot this week. In one short afternoon I was
able to get up a wiki here:
http://earn1kaday.wikidot.com
I was able to frame out the site, set up the security, figure out
how to secure pages so that only their owners could edit them, and
more, in just a few hours. And 2 days later, I noticed that Google
had already indexed the pages, for example for the keyword
earn1kaday my wiki was listed in spots #3 and #4 (my main sales
page has the first 2 spots).
I’m grabbing more wikis for more keywords (niches), and you should
too, but as well, I’m offering Earn1KaDay members the opportunity
to do 2 things:
1. add up to 2 sub-categories to the earn1kaday wiki, and you can
have any number of pages linked off of each of your sub-categories.
I’ll link your sub-category pages to my main category pages, check
out the different ones available.
So think about this. Right now the electronics category is wide
open, for example. You could set up a sub-category of video games
systems, and frame out an entire mini money site over there
reviewing different systems, using your affiliate links, or just
linking back to your own main site. I think this is just as, or
even more powerful than, writing articles to submit to
ezinearticles.
No, you can’t put eBay RSS feeds on the pages (I don’t think), and
you can’t put AdSense on those pages, but you can link to your
sites that have them.
Obviously video game systems as a sub-category will only last until
somebody grabs it, and it might be gone by the time you take
action, but there are tens of thousands of alternatives, I’ve set
up a few dozen different categories, and if you can write good
content for good paying niches, linking to your own sites or
offers, you could do well.
At the very least, it’s just one more way of promoting your offers,
along with articles, lenses, and other Web 2.0 activities.
2. you can also add a personal services page onto the earn1kaday
wiki so that you now have no excuse for not promoting yourself. If
you’re a ghostwriter or anyone who hasn’t yet built your own
website (or even if you have), you can use this wiki and send
people to your own page, which will be linked from the main category
menu, and could be found by the search engines.
Adding wiki pages to the earn1kaday wiki, or even setting up your
very own wiki, is as easy as, maybe even easier, than setting up a
WordPress blog, certainly way more powerful than setting up a
Squidoo lens, and as I’ve seen, Google seems to love the wikidot
sites.

Moving on, one of our new members, Russ Reynolds, has come up with
an offer that I think is absolutely nuts. He’s set up a membership
site to teach copywriting, and it only costs $6.95 a month to join,
so for just the cost of the first month’s payment you get a great
report on writing a sales letter in 3 hours or less (I read it,
it’s very good), access to other reports and information inside the
members area, and best of all, a video critique of your own sales
letter (if you don’t have your own letter for him to critique,
you’ll still get to see him rip apart the others). Remember, a
sales letter doesn’t have to be one of those long things on sites,
it could just be a WSO offer.
The report alone is worth at least triple the $6.95, so you can’t
lose. If you find it isn’t for you, you aren’t obligated beyond
the first month, so if you want to get better at writing sales
letters, this is your chance. See Russ’ offer here:

And last but certainly not least (I’m certainly hoping everybody
reads all the way to the bottom of my emails), the member of the
month for December is probably no surprise, it’s the guy I’ve
mentioned in the last few emails, Gary Nave. Gary went overboard
telling everyone how he succeeded with MMS’s, responded to questions
on the threads, probably spent hours answering PM’s, and then sat
down with Ian Sneddon and did a great interview which he gave away.
In my mind, he certainly deserves this award, I hope you agree.
So the year is off to a good start, isn’t it? Let’s move forward,
and with that, as always, I wish you nothing but the best.
Dennis, the 5 Bucks a Day Guy.
