Important update for Earn1KaDay members

by 5buckguy

Well, yesterday was quite a day. I call it the pre-launch day for
Earn1KaDay.com, and the number of signups already was very
encouraging. Thanks for your confidence.

I did notice one thing, though, and that was that not a lot of people
registered for the forum yet. I couldn’t figure that out. But as I
tossed and turned in bed last night, I think I have an idea.

When I set up the simple screen that you see when you type in
http://www.earn1kaday.com/members

it only had a link to go to the blog. Of course on the blog there
were other links, including to the forum, but it’s possible a lot of
people didn’t notice that. Now I’ve updated the main members
screen to give a link both to the blog and to the forum.

It’s still early, I’m still feeling my way, and I’m not sure what the
blog will really become. It’s where I’ll be posting my private posts,
of course, or will it? I think I really like the blog format as a way
to document things chronologically, where the forum format is more
disjointed. I like the fact that a new member can join, then go back
in the blog archives from day one, and start reading forward, to catch
up on everything.

I’m not using the blog to get any search engine rankings or
backlinks, since everything is behind closed doors, you have to
sign in to read the blog, so I turned the pinging off anyway. Come
to think of it, I advised you to subscribe to it with your RSS reader,
that might not work, since the feed is behind closed doors also.

Well, at least bookmark it, and bookmark the forum, or just
bookmark the main sign in page where you can go to either one.

Anyway, the point is, you really need to register for the forum,
that’s where the action will be taking place on a daily basis. What
I’ll probably use the blog for is sort of a diary, for example pointing
to some of the best threads of the day, maybe organizing some
things by category. I don’t know, like I said I’m still feeling my way.

Also, once you get into the forum, remember to read the “Essentials”
thread, which gives the basics, including a link to sign up for the
email list if you missed it before. Course, if you did, you won’t be
getting this one, will you? :-)

If anyone has any ideas, let me know, but for now, I’d like to see
everyone register for the forum and check in there often.

Dennis, the 5 Bucks a Day Guy.
