I’m doing the niche Blitz thing and only have one page up which is of course a specific niche. Niche Blitz is the very first time I’ve done anything like this before. How are the ideas you mentioned utilized. Can you give more specific details? What are article directories?? I have things happen in every day life that are interesting or amusing , but how do you turn writing about them into money?

What a great idea. I hadn’t thought about re-purposing at all. I’ve done this with Cover letters for jobs. Can you give us a few examples of the idea in practical terms. Tell us an idea that came up in a coffeee meeting that you used later for instance.
Also, what would I be posting in a social network site that could be used for a blog if I came up with enough of them?

Marcus, the best way to get notified quickly about new blog posts is by using the link at the top of the page in the header that says “learn about new blog posts”.

That’s great feedback, Ian, thanks for your comment. I haven’t personally done that on such a large scale, but I can certainly believe the results you’re getting, and when you start repurposing to video sites, podcast sites, etc., it will only get better by a vast amount.

Repurposing content is an absolute must and something that I will be implementing more in 2011…

The strategy I’ve been using with awesome results is creating a 1,500+ blog post that is packed with value (like Dennis’ one above) and then creating 5 or 6 smaller articles from the same content.

I then submit these shorter and slightly rewritten articles to the directories. In the article resource box I have one link that points directly back to the blog post and another link that points to the home page.

According to Market Samurai the links back to the home page are doing great things for my search engine rankings and my Analytics is showing that the short article leading to the well detailed blog post is a winner… The average length of stay is 10+ minutes and the bounce rate is less than 20%… I am very happy with that

It’s about relevancy from the article to blog post or video to blog post, just like going from an ad to a landing page.

I haven’t started converting these long blog posts into audio, video and give away pdf’s yet, but this will change in 2011. I was getting great results just with simple article marketing, so can’t wait to see the spike when I repurpose into audio, video and give away pdf’s.

Thanks for a different perspective on content repurposing. Most say to spin it and put on ezines, your blog and so forth. I don’t think I’d want to read someone’s article at ezines and then get linked to their blog finding the same article.

I am just starting to look into writing articles, so this post will help me get going in the right direction.

Also, thanks for that sweet little article helper, it’s a real gem.
